Subscription Resources

It would be great if premium resources could setup a payment method that was a subscription. For example: I could charge like $3/month instead of $15 lifetime that I do right now on Spigot. This would be huge and help some larger, more stable / long term projects be able to consistently make money.

There are no addons that do this as of the last time I checked so it would need to be built. I understand that it's no small undertaking. Given that, I think it would be huge for the plugin community.

Instead of a year do 6 months, with that 6 months they recieve future updates and support from the author for that perioid. Then the user will then need purchase a new licence after the 6 months have gone by to recieve future updates and support.

Yes, this is the way that licenses do work with products like xenForo.

If I'm going to implement this I think we're just going to do yearly subscriptions though, having users pay each month for a resource just doesn't seem reasonable and realistic. drtshock, thoughts?

Since the time this suggestion was made we have since implemented this functionality into our resources system, I just forgot to move this suggestion away from pending.
