Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience, but I'm new to plugins. My 1.20.1 Towny server has an issue: players without permissions in certain towns can't place blocks, yet a "block bug" allows them to quickly place and remove blocks, effectively climbing up to 10 blocks high.
I've seen servers where this is solved by making block-restricted areas behave like Adventure mode, completely preventing block interaction, placement, and animations. I tried two methods myself: preventing packets (unsuccessful) and instantly changing game modes (caused server load and command errors like "You cannot use this command in Adventure game mode").
I'm puzzled how other servers achieve this. I haven't found a ready-made plugin online. Is there an existing plugin, or could you advise on how to create one? Thank you.
