Ubuntu VPS MySQL Database Setup

Hello, so I was trying to make a mysql database on ubuntu vps for my network so I can use it with plugins such "LiteBans" or "PowerfulPerms" and I am not succeeding.
When I try to connect to example powerfulperms it says in the console
"com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure
The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server." or something like that.

Can anybody help me with this because I was trying to do this for 2 days and I can't get it to work?

Do you know where he lives? Once you deduct taxes, consider the hourly rate it'll actually be, and factor in his value, you can get a better understanding.

You're not paying for a panel install, you're paying for a professional with (hopefully) years of experience. I can't really say too much for David, but usually people charging that much have experience to back it up. Certification isn't everything, though it is a good sign.

Might as well just say ik he isn't worth that much he did cavepvp but they still got fucked just because he knows how to setup iptables does not mean he can charge rediculous prices
