UK vs US - Where is school harder?

Hello everyone!
Today, I want us to all debate about whether you think US or UK school is harder or easier depending on what you've heard, what you've experienced. Personally, I think that school in the UK is harder, i'm currently doing my GCSE's. I speak to someone over skype, she's from the US and i've been talking about my exams and she says she is having her "end of year exams" (this was a few weeks ago), and to be honest, "end of year exams" must be easy because she seems quite stress free and has a lot of time on her hands as if she isn't revising ? I'm not sure how the school system works there in the USA but it sounds messed up if high school starts when you get older or something ? It sounds as if you are in the same school for about 10-15 years from young to late teen :/ Is this true ? Also, when do you actually do your real exams that actually mean something (these "end of year exams" don't sound so serious, they just sound like progress trackers) ?

It definitely depends on wherever you go in both countries. In the U.S my finals are the worst shit ever. I wish I could have "stress free finals". But obviously you can find some really easy and really hard schools in the U.S and the U.K it just depends on where you are.

But what are "finals"? Are they the things you do right at the end of the school as we have GCSE's ?

Finals= midterms and/or exams. Then we also have ap tests. There's also the ACT and SAT

I also had another american person speak to me on minecraft, him and the one from skype were talking about them sometimes just spending their time in school watching videos ? Is that school.. or... what? Not sure USA takes school very seriously :/

I had 5 AP classes senior year ( im now in college ). I would say US is hard if you choose the more rigorous classes. I can't speak about the UK. AP Tests + Finals for the AP classes did make the classes easier than CP classes.
