There's never a "reason" to scam, even if you were scammed... People do it out of greed. Nothing more, nothing less.

So if it's okay to joke about scamming people, that's like saying it's okay for me to make jokes about DDoSing the website or releasing people's private information. Right?

WRONG. That's the logic you're using here. Jokes of serious matters (TO THIS FORUM) such as scamming, DDoS/Dox, etc. should be taken seriously. Here's why.

Let's say Crits did get an unban, and he actually does scam. The website is at complete fault for that, and all damages done in the process. Not only that, a bad judgement call basically could get multiple people scammed.

Even if it was 120% a complete joke, he shouldn't have been saying it to begin with. Scamming is a big issue here, and always has been. There's literally scam reports posted on the daily. The staff have to work hard to resolve them all and ban the actual scammers. They can't just take jokes/threats lightly and risk someone else being scammed.[DOUBLEPOST=1476128322][/DOUBLEPOST]
To also add onto this, it sets a bad example. If we unban one person who "admitted" to a scam/potential scam, then everyone who's ever been banned for scamming or admitting it easily would complain that "they were only joking" as well. I saw the chatformat. It was 100% serious, with no reason to believe it was a joke. He even changed his profile pic to some crying anime character making it all add up even more. Claiming this all was a joke is as ridiculous as people who shout "It's just a prank!" after pissing someone off.

Then again, with all of the proof against him, and there have been multiple users like Eat and 23jd83yhs208d that have said he was 'willing to BIN their accounts' @ high prices, there is no proof that he wasn't planning to scam.

Nobleman just recently scammed. He paid off his friends to keep quiet, but they ratted him out. It happens.

Well there was no paying involved so Crits is not guilty or innocent.
