I own the domain: cubecraftgames.nl which I'm wanting to rent out to other servers. I tested it on my small server and it got me 82 players join in just 24h. This is from Wednesday night to Thursday night, so at weekends I'd expect more like 150 players join per 24h.

$30/24h - weekends
$20/24h - weekdays

One problem, if people like the server. They will save the ip, the ip would change to a different server the next day. :/

You'd be better off linking it to one server. The problems above w/ no proof and changing IPs will lead to only the seller profiting. You might look into selling a server and using this domain.

I'm currently doing this with my server, except when I rent it out, then I'll return it back to my server.

So you're going to get people to pay you to hook up an IP to their server, return the IP to your server, get more players on your server, and never pay a dime.

This isn't a "unique" method, i've seen 3 other people do it on just this forum, + this is like you giving someone an amazon account, let them buy something, take the account back and then ship it to your house... it's plain stealing.

Ever heard of CubeCraft? The multi-thousand player network, people accidentally sometimes put a .nl instead of .net/.com and then I'll redirect it to your server IP. Obviously most of the players that join will be from Netherlands.

Thats pointless because people will see they are on the wrong server and just leave.

that's also a good idea. It all depends how you use my service I guess. Either way I'm just offering a service and seeing whether anyone is interested. I'm not here to scam, steal money or steal players, just wanted to try and get some money to payback the how much I paid for the domain. If no one is interested I'll keep it forwarded to my own server, allow that to get a large playerbase from it and then donations will pay the cost at which I purchased the domain.

The amount of scam that happens on here mind blowing. And again how do you think your service will benefit your clients? Exacly... not, they join that domain on accident. And IP address is changed when a new moron falls for the trick of "150' new players for your survur.
So it's basicly useless.
