Personally we need it. We are screwed otherwise. If we want life to even start changing back to normal the UK needs to get it's self together and behave.

We definitely need it, but I feel like it was a little too late.

Personally, I feel lockdowns do not work unless everyone follows them.
Not everyone does so it is not 100% effective.

Lockdowns are terrible. Freedom > Security

Although I'm not happy about being stuck inside for longer, you've got to put it in perspective. I'm fortunate that I'm young and in good health, and hence less vulnerable to the virus. However, there are people in the world less fortunate than myself, and it is imperative that they don't get the virus, so I think the lockdown is completely necessary.

I don't think it would be necessary if people could actually control themselves, but it turns out people would rather party for one night than protect vulnerable people's health.

Well, i have to say it was a neccesarry precaution to contain the virus. But I really think this lockdown should have been implemented much more sooner. Hopefuly this lockdown proves effective. I hope everyone is well and remember to stay SAFE and stay STRONG!

Should of happened sooner, RIP to anyone who has GCSEs and hasn't done their mocks yet I really feel for you. I got lucky and my school has already done ours. I'm wishing everyone luck with exams who has them. The lockdown had to happen, and hopefully we will see better returns. Personally, I think we should have it for longer than just til February but we will see what happens.
Our A-Level mocks were meant to be next week. No idea what "alternative arrangements" means as of yet. Feel bad for the school as it must be an absolute grey zone of vagueness and I'm sure they're getting spammed with phone calls and emails.
Will just wait to hear. There is a meeting today apparently.

We had a-level mocks before Christmas for this exact reason, only smart thing the school have done.

Feel bad for schools. Think it's an extremely touchy subject that you can't win either way you look at it. There's no easy choice in the matter.

We are pretty much screwed if we didn't have the lockdowns. A lot of the general public doesn't listen no matter who is in control. Quite a lot of people have been ignorant regarding other people's safety and it's getting annoying.

Living in germany, same thing here. I feel like the more often rules are changed, lockdown on off etc. the fewer people actually do what they are asked to do.. It sucks to see other people partying while you can not even get a haircut for months.

I don't fee like it is going to change much since not everybody is going to follow the rules of it anyway.

This is brilliant. Like. Just amusing.

Also, I highly doubt it's going to change anything. No one follows rules... :/

We need it though.[DOUBLEPOST=1609859949][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, Tier 5 pog?

At least people aren't at school now, so that's a rule that has to be followed whether we like it not.

Honestly, Tier 5? Am starting to forget what is going on. There was the four Covid alert level system, traffic light system, three tiers, four tiers, now possibly five tiers? Bojo, make your mind up please.
