At least people aren't at school now, so that's a rule that has to be followed whether we like it not.

Honestly, Tier 5? Am starting to forget what is going on. There was the four Covid alert level system, traffic light system, three tiers, four tiers, now possibly five tiers? Bojo, make your mind up please.

Not possibly, it IS 5 tiers. It's stupid now. He won't make up his mind. However, it's not his fault, it's the parliaments fault. He just follows the orders from them.

Should of been three tiers, tier 3 is close schools. It was like that originally in March. Now it's do whatever and make 69 tiers. Like... wtf.

You're right.
Full lockdown - tier 3. Sike. That's tier 4. Sike. That's whatever we're in now. Sike.

Really feel for you mate, I hope you get everything sorted. I got lucky that I'm only doing my GCSEs and I'm not in the same position as you, I'm not too sure how you're coping as I'd be having breakdowns 24/7 aha. I don't think the government know what "alternative arrangements" are either to be honest, I think it's ridiculous they keep giving us a "concrete" answer and the instantaneously changing it. Last year, they pretty much confirmed that GCSEs/A levels would have to go on as they aren't looking to have the same incident as last year, and they've now gone and changed it. What we need is an actual answer on what's going on. I'm sure a lot of people agree that I don't want to be sat here revising and stressing, if we aren't going to end up having some sort of paper at the end of it. But with the way it's going, we will probably get told the exams are back on a few weeks before.

Was nice to get some clarity from lovely Gavin this afternoon and it makes quite the change. Looks like it's teacher assessed grades if you're taking GCSEs, AS or A-Levels, which is fair enough. Honestly, couldn't see how else they'd do it without exams and without avoiding the fiasco that was the 'algorithm' last year. If you're doing BTEC's, well, my thoughts are with you.

Lockdowns are terrible. Freedom > Security

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Benjamin Franklin
let me guess, you also believe masks are infringing on your right to breathe

stop caring about what someone in the 1700's said and focus on today.
COVID does not care what the "founding fathers" said - move on, focus on the present.[DOUBLEPOST=1610290751][/DOUBLEPOST]

Just because the westernized world has had been relatively well off for nearly a century doesn't mean it cant ever spiral into chaos and tyranny. I don't think a government should have overarching powers to dictate your ability to work and provide for your family.

And its bold of you to assume my stance of masks. I actually am fine with wearing masks and doing other safety protocols, so long as we do not have to endure lockdowns. Lockdowns do appear to help reduce covid in the short term, but it seems that all they do is throw off the inevitable surge for a few weeks or months, but it never fully gets rid of it.

Additionally, these lockdowns trade off the economy for the short term reduction of life loss, which severely hurts businesses who employ people and provide fuel for the economy. If the economy falters, then everyone suffers and you experience a far greater range of issues such as poverty, crime, etc. I am also annoyed to hear nobody talking about the suicide rate, destruction of families in such hard times, financial burden, drug usage, depression, etc which are also huge problems under lockdowns.

Needed a lot.. Here in the Netherlands, we have a lot of measures and they all suck a ton, but yeah, what can we do about it!

I think the lockdown was a necessity, tbh shoulda happened after boxing day so that we were in lockdown for the christmas wave surge. Tbh, think if they manage to even hit 1 mil a week rather then their 2 mil target won't be long now and we hopefully should see a insanely huge boom to start correcting the economy when people and young people continuously go out so I'm not too stressed about the economy (other than the amount of money they are printing) :)
