I highly recommend not buying the FX 6300. Your FPS will get bottlenecked. Upgrade it a bit even if it means downgrading other parts.

AMD o.o Why don't you fancy i7?
If I was going to get a Intel cpu I would take a Intel i5 4440 3,1 GHz tbh. Does the job imo.
I never really felt a difference as a AMD/Intel user.

The 4440 is good. I personally use a 4670k (non OC) so it's just a tad better and my PC performance is tip-top as well as minecraft gameplay. The 4440 in comparison will do just fine and won't bottleneck the FPS. :p

But it has a bigger pricetag right? I'm building a PC specially for GTA V, MKX and some other pretty big games and from benchmarks I've seen they'd run pretty well on the 4440 as well on the f-6300. Depending on what big of budget I have. And I'm not planning to play Minecraft so that's not a problem, I'm probably quitting this slowly corrupting community, but thanks for the tips!

But still. Even if it does have a bit bigger price tag, downgrade your other parts to stay within budget. Because the FX 6300 will not allow your GPU to function at maximum potential.

i5-4440 costs twice as much as FX-6300 but has same benchmark scores.
There's no way that CPU will bottleneck that GPU, because to bottleneck you need a significant gap in performance, and even if there is any (which there won't be since I assume you'll OC the CPU a bit), it won't be noticeable (less than 5 FPS).

Yeah I don't really give a shit about that.
What was your old setup?
Don't remember exact specs but the GPU was a Titan.. I eh.. Don't ask how shit got fried.
Ew razer fangay, gross.
Not a fanboy, just like their products.

After watching some videos (i5-4440 vs FX-6300 GTX 960 GTA V) I really didn't see any difference neither did I see the FX bottlenecking the GPU.
Dont get an amd processor They take up more power for less preformance
Ide recommend a i7 4960K or 4970K
430W will cause power shortage when at heavy use
500watt thermaltake tr2 or so works 10x better
and finally razor mouses and keyboards are overpriced for s***
Get a logitech g10 lasts longer and plays better[DOUBLEPOST=1437693690,1437693597][/DOUBLEPOST]

They may cost the same and work at the same preformance But compare the multitasking and everything inter adds to there tech There is so much more in intel
Actually the Intel processor I wanted to take takes up more watt (PCPartPickers tells me). As a former AMD user I was very satisfied and I am on a tight budget so a $99 CPU is pretty good. Also I changed my mind since I found some other sexy gear, except for the headphones I'm still buying those.[DOUBLEPOST=1437694338][/DOUBLEPOST]

Actually from video's I've seen there is only a small difference if I go on GTA from 65 FPS to 60 I don't really mind see with the current backup laptop that uses a GeForce 820M I'm already satisfied that I get 40-50 FPS on high graphics. And I really want the GTX 960 but yeah, opinions.

They don't cost the same though, Intel costs double, just listen to what OP wants:
I'm trying to keep it cheap

Also, I can't even find any Intel i7-4960K, nor Intel i7-4970K, as you mentioned. Maybe you can point me in the right direction of where you found those.
I did find an Intel i7-4960X, but that costs $1000+, which I doubt OP would want to pay for.

Yeah I don't really give a shit about that.
You don't need an SSD, definitely not starting up anyways. (I got a new rig 3 days ago actually, sticking with hard drive for a while until I can get a nice SSD)

I highly recommend upgrading to one when you have the cash because they allow you to boot up quicker as you already said, they're cooler, lighter, faster(restarting, launching programs etc), consume less power, quieter, more durable and yeah.

In relation to your build, for $687 it's not a bad deal however I might save up for a better CPU in the long run but if you used that in the mean time it wouldn't be the end of the world and would run smooth enough.

Btw what speed does your RAM run at?

According to the PCPartPicker link, 2133MHz, but motherboard only supports up to 2000, so anything over is a bit of a waste.

Also pretty sure that CPU only supports up to 1866 / channel, so anything over would also be wasteful.

Finally, OP mentioned about using extra RAM he already has, but that won't work because RAM sticks are made to work with other specific sticks and each channel needs to have the same amount of RAM, so just keep that in mind as well.

The current price is $715 since I changed some things like the case and added a DVD thingy so I can install The Sims, since I didn't purchase it via origin. Also do you mean THIS PC I'm using or the upcoming one? And I find a 128GB SSD Very expensive it's the same price as a 1TB HDD I know it gives you all those things but I mean I'm not the richest since I paid $3000 for my old setup.. But It's a self-made PC so if I want I can upgrade anything from time to time.

Oh I thought you could just stick any RAM stick in..[DOUBLEPOST=1437735586,1437735233][/DOUBLEPOST]Update: First part arrived! MSI GeForce GTX 960 4G. Damn this card looks hawt.

SSDs are mostly just a luxury item if you've never used them, but once you use them, you'll never go back.
It's especially noticeable once you have a number of startup programs installed. You can boot windows and all your programs 10x faster.
Personally, I have 2x 250GB SSDs in a RAID0 config so it's double, aka 1GB/s read and write.
I also notice a lot of games nowadays (and coming this year - cough Fallout 4 cough) tend to load as much data as possible on launch to reduce or even eliminate loading screens while playing, and an SSD would definitely help (KSP down from about 2 minutes to 20 seconds)
