Verified Accounts should be allowed to Advertise

Since not every person has a business or a service on MCM and just wants to sell, buy, or trade something, then only having verified accounts advertise should be allowed. The time would be 15 minutes for advertising, and only verified accounts will be allowed to advertise. This idea would result in less spam and because MCM needs to verify the account and give a tag accordingly, it can be distinguished easily as a verified account.

This kind of perk would basically be any registered entity or company.

• Verified Accounts (requires approval): Must be certified and have proof of certification at any given moment. Business badge or rank tag given on profiles with a registered entity.

Solution: A color,badge, or tag shows the account is verified.

still stupid, how would anyone here (most of the people here are under 18) have a registered company, and if so why waste your time with a minecraft forum?

Maybe have different levels of verification so that anyone that have a personal account have a chance of advertising let say a level 1 vertified account for example like me do configuration service but can only advertise once per hour. Level 2 30 mins and Level 3 15 mins.

I could add this into thought, but might be difficult.

I sell goods in an attempt to make a profit. I have a business. I don't care if it's not "licensed" or "official," I have a business. Just because you have your official certificate doesn't mean the people on this website don't run businesses.

Why is that hard to comprehend? Of course not being able to advertise hurts businesses. That's common sense. I still get business without shoutbox ads but I get less business. It's not a hard concept to understand.

Exactly, we weren't excessive or annoying. You didn't even notice us so our ads were never a problem. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to advertise our services on here. That makes no sense. It's the forums' job to provide people with a place to sell their products and advertisements assist in that.

Maybe Categories help?
Categories = the amount of times you can advertise in shoutbox in some what minutes.
Example Configuration,Servers,Builds,Staff = 1 per 1 hour
Development and Web Development=1 per 30 mins
System Admin and Hosting= 1 per 15 mins
Other Services= To be determined.

I see them advertise it in the shoutbox a couple times a day.

It's not the forums job to help them advertise and I'm not defending anyone, but I don't see the problem with displaying your service in the shoutbox every 5 minutes, or maybe they could even make it every 10-15 minutes if it bothers people that much.

Although there are other ways to advertise our services besides shoutbox. montyburly If you cant change your way of mcm, You wont last long in the community. Change is necessary to these forums what ever you like or not. Now let stick back to the suggestion okay guys.

Yes, they are here to provide a platform to sell on, not for people to have off topic conversations about memes in shoutbox.

Chatboxes are meant for users to communicate and get help if they need it. No one likes advertisements being spamming when everyone could be arguing or just talking in general. I already asked for a place for advertisements but it's dumb. No one would go there. Threads can easily be advertised like word of mouth. You think servers advertise on MCM? No, it wouldn't make sense. But they still populate?

I kind of see that in this.
Though, it may be VERY unnecessary.
