Hey!

Would like to suggest a "Verified" tag for trades, middlemen or other positions.

In order to get this rank you would have to sign a agreement and provide identification proof to the MC-Market staff. If the person was under 18, their parents would have to sign the contract.

Using this method we would get a reliable base for middlemen etc, while eliminating the risk of exit scamming due to a legally binding contract with MC-Market and the person involved.

Please do not reply if you don't have any constructive feedback.

II do not think any of things should be implemented. This is more Mc-Market, Not Epic. That is just the way I see it!
Why wouldn't you want to see this getting implemented? You're not bringing any kind of a valid point to the table. Serious discussion only.

What exactly would the contract stipulate? And what meaning would their be behind the "Verified" tag?

It's a good idea, but I doubt Mick/MC-Market would take any legal action over a single trade. It would probably cost more in legal fees to go to court than the actual transaction itself.

Children might just fake this and get in serious trouble with their parents. How would we be able to verify ourselves? Not everyone might be interested to give out to what some see as sensitive information to people they don't know.

Legally binding the person into being a trustable person in the community for a X amount of time. If any kind of fraud would happen, where the person would be involved in directly, the person would be personally responsible for the damages.

The verified tag would mainly be introduced for middlemen. This is so we can finally have a safe marketplace without exit scamming from the sellers and/or middlemen themselves.

The person who signed the contract would be held responsible. MC-Market doesn't have to "sue" the person, but something else instead.

It doesn't matter if you don't want to give information. If someone is up for it, then he/she shall sign the contract. There are also ways to confirm the signature/contract is legit. I very much doubt a kid could fake something like this.

I dont think its good, this can make a difference between people and can rip some business, its true that this will decrease a lot the scamming but there is people who dont want to give a verification or his parents dont want. Mcmarket average age its 14 years old, and still there is parents that believe all.internet its bad. So this idea can be perjudicial to this kids business.

We only need a few middlemen. Some people don't want to submit verification and it's fine, but some people like me don't mind.

The people can sell their items normally, this only applies to middlemen.

Me too i dont mind but i will put a example, i want a setup and we have the same quality. One seller has it for 40$ but its not verified, and other seller its 60$ and its verified who will you choose? I think 60$ because of the tag

The verified tag would only mean that the person is in a legally binding contract with MC-Market in regards to scamming. This doesn't mean the person is better or that the build is better.

If it has no use, why add it? It's obviously there to make the person seem more valid and make the person know that the person they'd buy from has more reasons not to scam than someone who doesn't have the contract.

Legally speaking, this wouldn't do anything more than we do now. The only recourse MC-Market would really have if someone was to scam, we would be to ban the user, just as we do now. Besides, we already have a contract in place...it's called the TOS and the Rules.

I think this is a bad idea since having a "tag" on MCM is cool.. Hence, everyone will want to be in the middleman business and get a tag. With everyone faking their age and having a tag, you can't trust anyone anymore and then it is an unsafe environment, which is the OPPOSITE of MCM. :) Just my opinion, no arguments needed about my opinion :)

Didn't quite understand what you just said.

It has very much use. This tag would pretty much eliminate exit-scamming altogether. It doesn't mean he's a better person while dealing with, it only means that the person "can't" exit scam on you without getting in trouble.[DOUBLEPOST=1455874467,1455874342][/DOUBLEPOST]

You could release a dox on the person, according to the contract. You can do it just fine if it's on the contract. I couldn't care less if it was the right thing to do. It's on the contract and it's his own fault if he'd exit scam.

How can you fake your age while signing a legally binding contract?

With your logic I can apply to the university when I'm 10 years old. You have to submit ID proof, right?

Which makes him a 'better person' to deal with as you 'know' he won't exit scam.

Release a dox on a person so they could get spam ddosed and threatened? Wow, that'd be very nice of mcm. I hope it'd not get to that.

He'd probably want you to sue them, for the petty 17 dollars some people scam for. Nah, I know it's more money than that sometimes when they exit scam but yeah. it'd mean that you could legally take action against them but would you really want to put money into prosecuting them?

No, we couldn't. That would go against our privacy policy and violate privacy laws. Thanks, but no thanks. We'd rather stay as far away from the lawsuit as possible, thank you. ;)

You can't legally bind someone to not scam. Besides a kid can legally void a contract and not be legally bound.

We really couldn't. We wouldn't bet the ones owed. The best we could do is sue for damages, but we'd be likely to lose and it wouldn't even be worth it for us. The legal fees alone would be thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars.
