Yes but you should be able to just find left conversations in some sort of other tab on the messages menu.

Yes but what if they are spamming the conversation I don't like having to constantly check alerts. Either a mute conversation, or the ability to view left conversations would be fine.

They disagreed because they find your suggestion stupid most likely. I do too.
The functionality you're asking is not worth even thinking about, let alone investing resources to get it developed.

If you leave a conversation, think about it being the last time you will be able to see that conversation. If it contains important information, you can screenshot it for future needs.

However, if I have to give a rough estimate, it'll most likely be you and an additional of 10 people maximum who would use a feature like a 'Left conversations' tab.

Also, the way XenForo stores these conversations in it's database, it'd be quite a big revamp to get this implemented.

It wouldn't cost that much time to simply put a Left Conversation Tab and then just list all conversations left by the user, and I can guarantee less than 10 percent of the people who leave conversations screenshot their messages so that goes out the window.

It's literally a tab and list it shouldn't take more than a day to complete.

You should suggest a conversation mute button instead, it'd be a lot easier to implement, and it'd probably be more realistic.
