When someone is vouching on someone else's thread they have to state the deal they did.

Example:

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Example:

Say what now? I've actually worked with that guy, and it's not considered vouching falsely. I'm his server Community Manager, so why am I an example?

EDIT: ah, I see now. I can understand that.

On a business thread where a member has all info etc. Pretty much an advertisement I see no issue with people only saying Vouch. If it was a one time e purchase like a build someone is selling I do agree they should state why they are vouching that person.

Disagree, if this rule was implemented, it'd be being broken all the time by new members who don't know as well as the fact that there are no justifiable punishments for this.

I feel some sort of review/reputation system for members would be suitable enough.
Look at what happened to trade feedback tho...

Yes, that didn't go so well. However, I think a more general reputation system is what people wanted, which is why it didn't go so well.
True, but what would be it? Community is VERY VERY picky.
Tell me about it. :p
People would also likely find someway to abuse the review system.
Yes, I imagine there will be people out there that would try to abuse the system. But then again, there's only so much we can do. Some people will still slip through the cracks.

We already have a "general reputation system." It's called ratings, reactions, or whatever you guys are calling it these days. The problem that most people don't seem to understand is that the higher your ratings the less likely you are to scam. Don't believe me? Take a look at the ban list. Count up how many people were banned with less than 500 ratings and how many were banned with over 500 ratings.

I was working on a study to prove this, but not allowing people to view banned members profiles was a pain in the ass. Focus on that first.

stop changing things.

leave the site alone.
Nobody said anything was changing. Just stating what I think.

Sadly, yes, people use ratings/reactions to judge people's reputation. Problem is, they're nothing of the sort. While, yes, those with more ratings are less likely to scam, there's still a risk there.

There is always the risk that a bomb is accidentally dropped on my house, but I don't live in fear everyday because of it. The point I was trying to make is that people should use ratings/reactions to judge someone's reputation. It's only logical since like I said, the more ratings you have the less likely you are to scam.
