Im completely new to this stuff so i have no idea what that means
in that case, before you get a vps, get a vm on virtualbox with debian and play around with it. do some googling, also, if you ever need help with something, there are tons of people here willing to help you.

SSH is how you manage the VPS, you won't get much of a web panel like Multicraft, and you'll be expected to remotely connect through software like PuTTy and use command line interfaces to execute commands.[DOUBLEPOST=1505443198][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'd probably suggest Ubuntu 16.04 or CentOS 7 over Debian considering there's usually more support and documentation for them.

In this case i might just rely on a company like beastnode or something, I don't really feel like setting it up and I will always mess something up because I don't usually have that much patience

Fair enough, VPS's give you more flexibility but I understand that a CLI seems much more intimidating.

Make sure to look to others apart from BeastNode, there's a lot of reputable companies on here that know what they're doing.
