Not really, because if they are an awful user and just hide their profile and cant get any rep (Good or bad) they can go along scamming and what not and no one would get even a clue about it. It is not rightIf a user wants to make their profile private, then they don't get reputation. I think that's a fair compromise.
Hmmm, that's a fair point. You'd still be able to tell people about it though through their profile or through a thread. A member's profile isn't the only place you can leave a bad review. Not really, because if they are an awful user and just hide their profile and cant get any rep (Good or bad) they can go along scamming and what not and no one would get even a clue about it. If they are scamming, wouldnt M6Gaming have banned them, once a scam report is filed againt them? Not really, because if they are an awful user and just hide their profile and cant get any rep (Good or bad) they can go along scamming and what not and no one would get even a clue about it. but how, their profile is private.. That only leaves threads which don't get noticed if they do a deal in a PMHmmm, that's a fair point. You'd still be able to tell people about it though through their profile or through a thread. A member's profile isn't the only place you can leave a bad review.
Then they can just remove it and say its false and crap, and it would defeat the purpose of the new rep ystemHmmm, that's a fair point. You'd still be able to tell people about it though through their profile or through a thread. A member's profile isn't the only place you can leave a bad review.
Also a fair point. However, to counter that, a bad deal doesn't necessarily have to be a scam.[DOUBLEPOST=1467220054][/DOUBLEPOST]If they are scamming, wouldnt M6Gaming have banned them, once a scam report is filed againt them?
They wouldn't be able to remove a thread. And regular members aren't able to remove posts off their profile. Then they can just remove it and say its false and crap, and it would defeat the purpose of the new rep ystem
Which is why I said, use the normal devouch. I do not think forcing people to unprivate their profile is a good idea anyway. Not really, because if they are an awful user and just hide their profile and cant get any rep (Good or bad) they can go along scamming and what not and no one would get even a clue about it. Yeah. I agree with this. Maybe something Lyphiard can put together? Hehe.Which is why I said, use the normal devouch. I do not think forcing people to unprivate their profile is a good idea anyway.
If someone is a scammer you can check for scam reports. If you want to devouch, find their service threads.
I think it would be better if it was made possible to get to the feedback part via the member card, however.
Irrelevant because if the user has their profile private you can't even get to it. There is literally NO REASON to have your profile private. The fuck you trying to hide, you agree with some message and that's some huge secret??? Also profiles being private cause username history to not be seen. Private profiles cause so many problems it just shouldn't exist. Also a fair point. However, to counter that, a bad deal doesn't necessarily have to be a scam.[DOUBLEPOST=1467220054][/DOUBLEPOST]

"what the fuck do you have to hide" is the argument the government likes to use to survey anyone anytime. It is not valid.Irrelevant because if the user has their profile private you can't even get to it. There is literally NO REASON to have your profile private. What do you need to keep private???? THIS IS AN INTERNET SITE, IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SEEN JUST DON'T PUT IT THERE!!!! My god some people.."what the fuck do you have to hide" is the argument the government likes to use to survey anyone anytime. It is not valid.
People have the right to privacy unless they are suspected of a criminal offense (in this case scamming and the likes). period.
I disagree with that. I choose to have my own profile private from time to time and I'm a representative of this website. Does that mean I can't have a reason for making my profile private? No, not at all. A user should not be forced to make his profile public, especially when you've been given the ability to have it private if you chose to. If you really need something off someone's profile, a mod can get it for you. Otherwise, it doesn't matter what the user's reasons are for having their profile private or even if they have a reason at all. It's their choice and I don't believe that choice should be taken away.Irrelevant because if the user has their profile private you can't even get to it. We're talking about the profile messages here, right? Or do you mean just the info. Maybe I want people I follow to be able to see my skype, but not anyone else? is that hard to understand? Or do I need to spell out the reasons why? What do you need to keep private???? THIS IS AN INTERNET SITE, IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SEEN JUST DON'T PUT IT THERE!!!! My god some people..
