We can't give rep to people with limited profiles

Personaly i was quite happy putting my vouch's in my sig. Easy to see, and there for anyone to look at my reviews with just the click of one button. Maybe if none ranked uses could maybe have a small sig, then that would work far better than having to dig through peoples profiles to see them.
Well I guess you'll have to vouch or devouch in the normal awy for those users. The reputation system is still in a testing phase anyway.

Not really, because if they are an awful user and just hide their profile and cant get any rep (Good or bad) they can go along scamming and what not and no one would get even a clue about it. It is not right
Hmmm, that's a fair point. You'd still be able to tell people about it though through their profile or through a thread. A member's profile isn't the only place you can leave a bad review.

They wouldn't be able to remove a thread. And regular members aren't able to remove posts off their profile.
Which is why I said, use the normal devouch. I do not think forcing people to unprivate their profile is a good idea anyway.
If someone is a scammer you can check for scam reports. If you want to devouch, find their service threads.

Irrelevant because if the user has their profile private you can't even get to it. There is literally NO REASON to have your profile private. "what the fuck do you have to hide" is the argument the government likes to use to survey anyone anytime. It is not valid.
People have the right to privacy unless they are suspected of a criminal offense (in this case scamming and the likes). period.

I disagree with that. I choose to have my own profile private from time to time and I'm a representative of this website. Does that mean I can't have a reason for making my profile private? No, not at all. A user should not be forced to make his profile public, especially when you've been given the ability to have it private if you chose to. If you really need something off someone's profile, a mod can get it for you. Otherwise, it doesn't matter what the user's reasons are for having their profile private or even if they have a reason at all. It's their choice and I don't believe that choice should be taken away.
That's a little off-topic now though, I'm sorry.
We're talking about the profile messages here, right? Or do you mean just the info. Maybe I want people I follow to be able to see my skype, but not anyone else? is that hard to understand? Or do I need to spell out the reasons why?
