I would change all your passwords as soon as possible, everyone has access to their BoxBilling database. All your personal information can be accessed by anyone.


Update: Alpha Host knows about this issue, they are going to fix this soon. Still highly recommend changing your passwords.


Update 2: The bb-config issue is fixed, can't confirm if the database password is changed though.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
This is not a major issue. please do not panic!. No major breach in security has been made. All of our Customer's Personal Information has not been access by anyone else. Our Engineering team has looked into this and see that there is no one that accessed the SQL databases except our IP. Our business is based on our customers trust and complete transparency is our goal.
Here is the details of the Accident:
As you can see our new billing system which is found at https://billing.alphahost.us is a newly installed billing panel design to replace our old billing panel found at https://alphahost.us/client.
1. Recently our Engineering team are updating the servers and adding additional units and configuring the databases and updating our new billing panel.
2. Automatically, Cpanel Set the Permissions of the file https://billing.alphahost.us/bb-config.php to 644 Which will enable us to transfer some of our clients to our new database center is Los Angeles. Cpanel is only supposed to do this for only 3 seconds. Enough time to copy the string line of code. After 5 seconds Cpanel changed it back to 640 (which disables web read)
>While we are transferring data to our new database servers. IDiegoGameplay randomly accessed the configuration file.
3. CPanel successfully transferred the databases.
