A few days ago, two students were run over by 2 buses racing each other in Bangladesh. This small incident has caused a huge impact - students are now gathered and protest, they want to make the roads safer. However, the government is tota shit, they do nothing, and actually arrested those who support this protest and spread the word.

A reported for Al Jazeera was arrested for talking about how democratic countries have full civilian rights to do these, and the largest Bangladeshi YouTuber was arrested as well for doing similiar actions and spreading more knowledge about this incident. It's now on BBC News, and the hashtags has over 1,000 posts, be sure to look at it.

Bangladesh is like the 2nd poorest country, and kids have to work to earn fot their family. I kinda regret moving here, I've witnessed transexuals (I'm not homophobic, just that they're very rude and scary), pedophiles, and overall scared of being kidnapped or vulnered in the 'most disaster prone country'.

And most of the population is illiterate alongside poverty, but you shouldn't talk like that to people you know.

Why did u move there?

Because I lived in Saudi Arabia, where only citizens are given priority, foreigners were treated differently, though not harshly. Only saudis got citizenship, I lived there for over 10 years and was born there, they still don't hand out citizenships. We also had taxes to pay that only foreignors pay, and it increases every year. That lead to the decision of my parents to move here, and one of my sisters was already studying in Bangladesh, she moved here a year early before we did as she wanted to study in a university here. I still adore and love riyadh though due to its modern environment and luxury, also because I got friends I've known for 8+ years.

That's not it, this case isn't about '2 students being driven over on a RTA', but it all STARTED from the '2 students being driven over on a RTA'. The government is total crap, as I've heard, it gives no shit about what's happening and doesn't attempt to ever try resolving the situations. Roads were always jammed, accidents was prone. According to statistics, almost 3,000 civilians die from road accidents in 3 years (gathered between 2007-2011).

When students come out on the streets, they are able to clear the problems, which the government can not. A street which is ALWAYS jammed, was unjammed the only day students were controlling the traffic. What's more tragic is, due to the students protesting, the goverment sends a group of student boys who are against the student party, and 'kills' the ones protesting, nobody does anything.
