my man, M is before D in PEMDAS so 6/2*3 is 6/6
you are doing PEDMAS
The M & D are interchangeable meaning, you do the operation based on which comes first going from left to right. This is the same with Addition & Subtraction.

I brought that up, perentaces has priority. It gets into more detail when you get older.My grandfather is a certified mathematician. He worked at a well-known college for well over twenty five years.

Pemdas doesn’t force left to right. Check my post above.The answer is 9...
You start off with the parenthesis - 2+1 = 3
Then you go back to the beginning of the problem and do 6/2 = 3
Then 3*3 = 9.
That's the only solution and the right one.
you always start with whatever parenthesis there are in the problem and then see if you have any multiplications or divisions.
If you have both you start with the first one, and then proceed to the next one. You can't start with whatever you please, there is an order.
This is what I've been taught in school in first class, and it also makes sense. You can't just solve it however you want, you always work from left to right.Pemdas doesn’t force left to right. Check my post above.
dunno if this is a joke, but p means parentheses (aka brackets) and e means exponents (aka indices)PEDMAS? IT'S BIDMAS last time I checked. The answer is 9, if anyone does not agree go get an education and stop playing minecraft like stupid idiots kms
This is why Americans fail maths more than anyone else in the world yikes.
USING BIDMAS RULE:
B --> Brackets
I --> INDICES
D --> Division
M --> Multiplication
A --> Addition
S --> Subtraction
First step
(2+1) = (3)
Second step
6/2 = 3
Third step
3*3=9
You don’t have to work left to right. It just makes it easier for younger kids, Ask any of your math teachers.This is what I've been taught in school in first class, and it also makes sense. You can't just solve it however you want, you always work from left to right.
That's quite interesting. After reading that, I agree that it is mostly psychological and the intent of the expression isn't clear enough. This shows why everything becomes fractions instead of using the division sign at a certain point in math education.My grandfather is a certified mathematician. He worked at a well-known college for well over twenty five years.

Sorry, but your grandfather is incorrect, and please don't quote his certified math stuff because I'd fire back.My grandfather is a certified mathematician. He worked at a well-known college for well over twenty five years.
