What are you looking for in a host?

Hello Everyone,

I have been in the process of making my host for the past few months now and am trying to make it the best it can be by taking my time and looking to possible clients for what their ideal host would be. To offer the best I can, I would like to know what you look for in a host or what you would like to see as a feature. For example offering Minecraft hosting at $2.50/gb and have it include a free modpack installation. I know a lot of you would like free hosting but unfortunately I would be unable to offer that. Feel free to suggest anything you would like related to Minecraft hosting, web hosting, VPS hosting or anything else you would like to add.

NA, EU and possibly AU servers,

Active support,

Very good, free DDoS protection,

SSDs (Obviously)

Nice processors with high clock speed,

Very clean and professional looking website.

(More than just Spigot and Bukkit for jars, add PaperSpigot ect)

Hope this helped though it's just basics.

Keep your jars and modpacks 1-click installable and updated, keep updated on possible new packs to offer.

Support agent from multiple time zones to offer fast support around the clock, offer something additional like free webhosting with minecraft packages. And offer cheap webhosting for other possible clients.

Other than that. Have your agents use proper language everywhere. Not only in your ticket system and livechat, also on forums.

Help out other hosts when needed with advice to help you gain a positive name across that platform.

Aswell as thinking of new additions to your services and adding them.

For a host to stick to there word when they say 24/7 support :p

Honestly, I really would like to have true 24/7 support with livechat and tickets. I have this noted as a priority and my goal would be to have a few staff in maybe every other time zone and if tickets or livechat is lacking in 24/7 uptime either hire more staff or offer payment bonuses to staff to make support better. Ideally I'd want to have staff being really happy and enjoy answering tickets. Thank you for your input.

Hello Davy, support will always be a huge priority for me as I have experienced slow support with lack of knowledge. Thank you for the suggestion of adding free web hosting with minecraft servers. As for jars, the panel I plan on use will have as many jars as the server I host it on can hold.

A clean interface, responsive support, good pricing and have an USP and that will more than likely keep people happy :D[DOUBLEPOST=1474410463][/DOUBLEPOST]Also black and yellow can strain your eyes I would recommend a soft grey and softer yellow since it hurts when you move to a bright website after looking at a black one.

If you are referring to my company colors yellow and black I understand what you mean. Luckily my website is a dark theme with yellow accents so it looks good without eye strain.
