What to do with big schematics?

So I've got a build, and it's in a schematic.

It's a big build and is really detailed, is there any software where I can convert it to a world directly? Or will I just have to get a server with more RAM and use worldedit?

Whenever I've tried on the server I've got it misses out loads of chunks.

Use MCEdit, Upload the schematic and put it in a world/ get world file, upload

"Big" is a very vague description...
I am not following to latest plugins and updates anymore but in most cases FAWE plugin (stable version) and //paste -a dose the job. 2nd option //fast, //limit 100000 (then //limit 200000 etc. untill all is pasted, then //fast again to disable fast mode). As a last resource McEdit (older version, not 2.0+) and paste the build in 1.12 world , then update the world if necessary.
