What's the best way to get a playerbase on a minigames server?

Yeah so...

So far we have a fully custom skywars and everyone loves it, but it's hard to get a playerbase because of the nature of the game. But we have I think 1100+ unique joins.

Been trying to advertise through streams and youtube videos and just had an animation made that I will have uploaded to a big channel, but this isn't helping to get a playerbase. Sure, I can get 20 or 50 players on at a time during a stream, but it is inevitable that they will all live and probably not donate, then that's another $40 in the hole.

What's your guys' advice for developing a playerbase? I'm pretty desperate right now xc

Thanks

Pay youtubers to make series on your server, so their fans will stay on your server and hope to see that youtuber there. Meanwhile they will start liking the server and playerbase will grow.

Sponsored server slot.
Those are so expensive! Plus if there are 0 players and you have a sponsored slot nobody will come on anyway.

I've been trying to do this, hard to find youtubers though who are good and don't charge like $1,000/video.

I mean get a youtuber with 10-15k subscribers so you get a steady playerbase around 50-100, spoof like 30 players. And buy that freaking expensive sponsored slot!

Keep that Youtuber though so you can slowly stop spoofing.

It can be quite difficult to advertise for a mini games server and make it keep a consistent playerbase. You're best of contacting a large YouTuber, even though they might charge a lot it will be worth it. Alternatively, you could have them as a media owner. They would get a percentage of the donations and in return they would record which can be a good option if you don't have a large budget.
Yeah, we have a partnership document we wrote up about making a partnership with a youtuber. The only problem is that they are really really hard to contact (the big ones) and none of them have any interest in partnering with a small network.

You need to have something unique to offer, you must be very persuasive and professional when contacting them. If you go to the About section on their channels there should be a business email to contact them.
We have tried contacting probably 100+ by their business email. 1 responded. And that didn't work out.[DOUBLEPOST=1493929233][/DOUBLEPOST]
How to gain Players? make something distinctive not the usual bullshit ,even though is risky ."The real risk is not doing nothing",I think the most effective way of promoting your server is "making a partnership with a relative big youtuber " as the promotion cost will be for free and extremely effective as the youtuber will work really hard to gain Players and donation for their own interested-that will also benefit you-.

I.e
sell the 50% of the benefits/revenue of your server to 4 youtubers ,each youtuber with 7k-10k

How to maintain them ? I will personally recommend making a rank sale with 90% off or something like that,Players will buy ranks as they think its such a good offer and they will keep playing as they dont want to "waste their Money"
Tried most of that XD, but will look more into the youtube partnerships.

Getting a YouTuber, or getting a slot on a server list most likely isn't the best thing to do just because it would be so expensive.
Try and get out there, post on everything you can, and wait. People will eventually begin to come on your server, I promise. Just don't give up.

Getting in contact with youtubers of any size isn't hard if you know the right ways. I've done marketing for game developers and servers and learned how to do it easily. Just think outside the box a bit.
