As far as it goes, anything is better than OVH. SingleHop, PhoenixNAP, SoftLayer, SecuredServers, InterNAP, yes they're a but more but like I said - OVH is a budget provider, not a premium one.
I beg to differ on your statement and you've also avoided my question. I asked what your hardware and provider were, not ones "better" than OVH.[DOUBLEPOST=1438034520,1438034486][/DOUBLEPOST]

I post here personally, not representing a host. This is my personal account, always has been. For the company account see MCHost
Why would you have their branding in your name then?

Psychz and InterNAP. E3-1271v3 with Psychz Networks, E3-1245v3 with InterNAP I believe. 32GB RAM on both. SecuredServers E5s, retired though, 64GB RAM. 240GB SSDs, pending an upgrade to double storage, Samsung 840/850s. 480GB on the retired SS nodes. 1Gbps uplink and DDoS protection on both to a network level. I updated my post before your reply by the way.

SecuredServers is a terrible provider, if not on the same level or lower than OVH. I find it cute you call them good and if you dare state MCProHosting also uses them so they should be fine, you're wrong. They're a terrible provider and I would highly recommend you avoid them. As for the other hardware, it's not "amazing" and the datacenters are just a bit above OVH.

I didn't say that. I'm not sure how much I want to comment with you about this, because I don't think you have a clue of what you're talking about here. Before I even say anything, just to explicitly state, I do not represent MCHost in this post, but an individual on his own terms.

First of all, MCProHosting is not the best example of a premium provider. They charge a premium price, because they are top in terms of revenue, so they are able to, people will buy from them anyway. SecuredServers/PhoenixNAP is NOT just some Minecraft provider. They've been around LONGER than Minecraft has. That being said, it's not a terrible provider. CubedHost use them for starters, not sure if they colocate now on all locations but they used them for a majority of their time as far as I know, if you need hosts to compare to, and earlier on in this thread you did call them good I believe. Apart from that, SS is a real hosting provider. It's not poor quality. Their DC is much better than OVH. That being said, there are some real idiots in their support team, which was a big reason for why we left. There is also a support agent that I would personally hire if I could, great sales associate. The higher ups aren't exactly the guys you want to be working with though. That said, I believe MCPro was planning a move to SoftLayer. They didn't like SS. That's what I got told last time I talked to their sysadmin. Not sure if they went through with it.

As for the hardware, it's much better than any plan OVH or its subsidiaries provides. Do some research on OVH hardware. The closest to match what we use is SYS for the Intel Xeons, and they don't even match us at all.

InterNAP is "just a bit" above OVH? They share DCs with SoftLayer in some locations, both companies put huge investments into DC locations. Seriously? I might need to put that in my signature or something. InterNAP and SoftLayer are big names, and they're great. I don't think you should be discussing this with you if you don't even recognise that. Some of OVH's DCs are containers made out of scrap metal. Servers are above, below and cramped together. It's really untidy. Take a look at some pictures. OVH even show some of them on their website.

That said, to your credit before someone calls me dumb for calling OVH bad. I just want to say a few things. Their DDoS protection isn't as advertised. If you start doing a round robin setup with BungeeCords with OVH you won't have any problems. I wouldn't use them for the backend servers, but a cost effective solution for good DDoS protection would be to use the frontend bungees on their VPS Cloud VMWare servers. I believe vemacs does that too, and it works excellent for him. I wouldn't recommend a lot of DDoS protection providers out there compared to such a setup over at OVH. Voxility, for example, and ProxyPipe (Voxility reseller, right?), not some of my recommendations. That also said, OVH isn't a poor provider. OVH is a budget provider, and they are one of the best budget providers. I could even go a step and argue they could be one of the biggest hosting providers out there. I mean they must have a huge quantity of servers with them. With those numbers in mind, OVH also does do the job. For Minecraft, to some extent, if you had a server you might want to choose OVH. Your players might not see a difference. Their network isn't superb, and for some of the largest networks I wouldn't recommend them (and I am aware that Hive uses them). I'd rather use SingleHop, which I don't particularly like either. OVH isn't a poor provider. I had a very poor experience with them, but for the price you pay, how much can you expect? They have a business model and they cut places. OVH has invested millions into their DDoS protection and network anyway, it's meant to be good. So if anyone here has a small budget, wants a dedicated server and they want to make their players happy, I'd redirect them to OVH. If they are a large server or host, they want guarantees, they want the best they can get, I would not recommend OVH. A medium sized server, OVH is great there too. Just make backups offsite.

I might attract a lot of different opinions, I know OVH is loved, but with years of experience in this field, I wouldn't be able to recommend them if you're serious about your data and reliability.
