Why account selling is not wrong

lol do you honestly think a game worth billions of dollars is going to "die" because a few hundred pissy kids can't make money off of it anymore? why would mojang give a shit about a bunch of kids from this website getting mad about not being able to sell their stolen accounts anymore? i'm sure they don't care at all about people like you quitting because you can't profit off of their game anymore and no amount of bitching and petition-making is going to change that. and i'm sure most of you will get over this by next week anyway and go back to playing the game

As many of your points are true, and I agree, its important to remember that Mojang is not worth billions of dollars. The community might be, but Mojang never monetized anything. They sell you one account one time for $30. What can you do with it? A lot more than your paying for. Sure it may have sold for 2B, but look at the community. Such a large one was created around such an amazing game. You have to feel bad seeing how badly Mojang is missing out on so much revenue.

I think they do have the right to be locking these accounts, given the right evidence. It is hurtful towards them, so long as blocking out their names isn't a thing. It would be horrible if all the OG names were gone forever.

In the EULA it says when you buy the account they still completely own the account so technically it is never actually your account. They will be losing such a small part of the community by banning all the cracked alts that it won't even affect them in the long-run.
