Why does my computer run the Mega Walls game on Hypixel very slowly?

So it occurred to me that I should have no lag with this PC however I do experience lag which I don't understand at all. I'm now at my vacation house and we have my old iMac up here. I decided I wanted to play a game of Mega Walls on it and see how it ran. The iMac ran flawlessly... It's a 2012, but has the highest specs you could get on it at that time. Does Windows seriously just suck compared to Apple's performance or something? I may be an Apple fanboy somewhat, but I did choose Windows when it came to picking a new setup, however it seems to be letting me down... Would love if someone could find the answer to this problem for me, thanks! ~ Badger

The specs of the PC lagging:
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz (Quad Core)

CPU Cooling: Ametek Liquid Cooling

Motherboard: B85 Chipset Motherboard

Memory: 32GB DDR3 1600MHz

Primary Hard Drive: Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD | Read: 540 MB/s | Write: 410 MB/s

Secondary Hard Drive: 1TB 7200 RPM

Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 4GB

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Strange.

Whats your MC settings?
Sadly I'm not at my home, so I can't really check specifically, but I will tell you I had it on Fast rather than fancy and even turned particles down somewhat and turned off clouds. Messing with the render distance varies different results too... When you get into PVP, it's nearly impossible to play... It's very odd, I agree.

Check in F3 in the top right, it shows how much RAM you have allocated to MC. Mega walls is reasonably large so it might need to render more heavily, requiring more intense RAM.

I will have to check this when I am back home and I will let you know :). Sadly I do think I have allocated at least 8 GB to it once when I was trying to fix this issue myself.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that when I load up Fortnite and the game is starting up, if I'm in a discord voice channel, the voices lag out until the game gets to the menu practically... Very odd.

What I have experienced personally is that post-1.8 minecraft has become unreasonably laggy at times for no good reason. Optifine fixes this, however. That's the last advice I can give you

I don't have optifine, so I definitely need to try performance with having it. However it still doesn't make sense how the iMac outperforms the PC if the RAM allocated isn't the problem... (The iMac has no optifine either)

Is Apple just so much more superior to Windows I'm starting to think lol?

It may be related to how java runs on it. The strength of apple products is easy-to-use performance consistency. You'll get less power for your money, but you won't have near as much technical troubles.

i'll be in the middle of my skywars game and my aim just starts randomly not working, i'll have to minimize all my tabs + tab out of minecraft multiple times for it not to happen

So I installed Optifine and ran with it on fast graphics too. Put on all the things that help performance. The performance significantly improved, however I'm still only getting like 30 - 40 frames when in-game and sometimes I'll get a drop to 16 frames outta nowhere once in a while?... WTF.

Your pc could just not be powerful enough to run it.
