Youtube Rewind is out, opinions?

Have you seen the other fan made YouTube rewind? It is so much better!

The rewind this year isn't that bad - I admit it isn't as good as older years but neither is YouTube as a whole.

They should focus more on the important parts of YouTube that are failing than some end-of-year review.

Shit, all it did was showed stats of videos? I expected a dedication to etika and we didn't get one I hope it becomes #1 again

also yes why was etika not there. why was pewdiepie not there (for being first solo creator to hit 100 million subscribers, i know he was in there for the wedding video).

It was just a list. Very boring, they'll never reach the previous years now. At least it was better than last years (?!?!?)

The reason that YouTube rewind was always a fun thing to watch was because it brought a bunch of the biggest creators together in a fun compilation, while also summarizing the most popular trends. This new rewind is nothing like that. They just spit out facts and disregard basically everything important that happened on their site over the past year, and the whole thing just feels heartless. In my opinion, last year's rewind was better than this year's simply because they actually stuck with the successful format. It may have been 'cringy' but it wasn't outright dull.

I thought it was fine.
YouTube rewind last year was considered such a massive failure. It would have also probably one of the most if not the most expensive rewind to do. One of the points I heard made about this year was that they saved so much money by doing it like this as people would have problems with it regardless.
A lot of what the complaints about last year from what I personally saw and remembered is it didn’t really represent YouTube that year. This was a simple way that people can’t say YouTube was picking only certain creators.
They saved a significant amount of money and still provided something that represented YouTube.

I guess what they could do is do a top ten but still do like something with the youtubers instead of just taking the clips. Remake the scenes in a more interesting way possibly to make it not just a boring top 10.

Essentially, I think they did listen and did something that makes business sense.

Unpopular opinion, but this was worse then last year.
Last years rewind was awful, but it atleast was as entertaining has watching a train-wreck. It created memes and laughs. This years video was just boring and dull.
