There's plenty of YouTubers that record for free, I even have around 6 friends that have between 100 - 1500 Subscribers, 60% of their Subs actually watch each and every video. Reminder, they are free.

In my opinion, I don't think you should be making videos for money for the time being. You should focus on improving your channel by uploading videos that you like and not what you're forced to upload for money. If you start off with money in mind , you won't reach places.
