DeckCardSMP v1.6 Update – Folia Support, Visual Overhauls & Exploits Patched
This massive rollup update focuses on securing server economy by permanently patching duplication exploits, completely rewriting the backend for high-concurrency Folia server compatibility, and introducing premium visual particle effects.
Changes in v1.6
Fixed
- The Stacking Dupe Exploit: Addressed a critical economy-breaking vulnerability allowing item duplication via hoppers and crafting grids. All Card items generated are now strictly hard-locked to a max stack size of 1.
- GUI Bottom-Inventory Bugs: Patched a logical flaw in the Equipment Manager GUI. Players can no longer glitch cards or steal placeholder items by interacting with the bottom half of their inventory.
- "Ghost" Ability Memory Leaks: Fixed severe instances where players would log off, disconnect, or die, but retain their active ability buffs and potion effects (e.g., glowing) indefinitely.
- 1.21.3+ API Breakages: Fixed runtime errors during ability activation caused by strict Particle data typing and renamed generic entity attributes in Spigot 1.21.3+.
- Task Progression Accuracy: Solved edge-case tracking bugs in the Task Manager where specific entity conditions (like killing Charged Creepers or popping Totems via projectiles) failed to register correctly.
- Villager Ability Rework: Overhauled the armor repair mechanic to prevent race conditions, explicitly using player ticks to perfectly sync armor durability restoration.
- Dependency Crashes: Isolated soft-dependencies. The plugin will no longer throw NoClassDefFoundError server crashes if WorldGuard or PlaceholderAPI are missing.
- Task Progress Bar: Fixed the visual formatting and color progression of the Task Progress bar.
Added
- Native Folia Scheduling Support: Completely migrated the engine away from standard BukkitRunnable calls. All ticking logic, ability timers, and visual effects now safely route through entity timers, ensuring 100% thread-safety on Folia.
- High-Performance Database: Integrated HikariCP to handle all MySQL database connections asynchronously, eliminating TPS drops and main-thread lag spikes during data saves.
- Premium Randomizer Overhaul:Added highly polished aesthetic cues to the Randomizer Manager.
- Dynamic Audio: Added layered tribal clicks, scaling xylophone pitches, and dynamic leveling-up sounds during the rolling sequence.
- Particle Showcases: Added focused vertical energy beams, helix-style rotating particles, and rarity-colored bursts based on the pulled card (Common=Lime, Epic=Purple, Ultra=Yellow).
- Heavy Particles Configuration: Added a heavy-particles-enabled config toggle. Active abilities now emit pulsating, rarity-colored dust particles around players dynamically without impacting server TPS.
- Ability Toggle Persistence: Added the /abilitytoggle command, allowing players to permanently disable their ability activation hotkeys.
- Customizable Message Prefixes: Implemented complete configuration support for plugin prefixes, ensuring chat formatting can be entirely branded to your server.
Notes
- Dependencies (HikariCP and SLF4J) are now dynamically relocated and shaded internally during compilation, permanently preventing nasty classpath conflicts with other plugins on your server.
- The ConfigManager will seamlessly auto-update your existing config.yml with the new MySQL and Heavy Particle settings without requiring a manual reset.
- No action is required for existing worlds or player data.
Compatibility
- Minecraft: 1.21+ (Natively supports up to 1.21.11)
- Servers: Spigot / Paper / Folia
- Resource Pack: Required (Updated to explicitly support all 1.21.x formats without warnings)
This update guarantees bulletproof stability on high-concurrency servers, eliminates major exploits, and polishes the visual experience for your players.
