What Movement+ Solves

Vanilla Minecraft movement is a solved game. You sprint. You jump. You repeat. There is no skill ceiling, no room for mastery, and no way to stand out among other players.

Movement+ rewrites the rules. Every module is a standalone movement mechanic: Double Jump breaks the sky barrier, Dash adds instant horizontal burst, Wall Run turns every surface into a path, and Slide keeps your momentum going. The Flow Rank system (D through SSS) tracks your momentum in real time and rewards you with ability multipliers the higher you climb. The Stamina system forces decision-making: do you burn everything on one escape or pace yourself for the long run? These are not minor tweaks. They are a complete movement overhaul.

14 Movement Modules

Every module is fully configurable: cooldown strength particles sounds per-module stamina cost
Each module can be toggled per-world and per-region. No module interferes with another.

AIR MOVEMENT
  • Double Jump Press jump in mid-air to launch a second time. Horizontal boost keeps you moving. Configurable strength, cooldown, and particle effects.
  • Multi Jump Unlock additional mid-air jumps beyond the double. Set a configurable max jump count per player.
  • Air Control Full directional control while airborne. Strafe mid-jump and mid-dash with configurable strength.
  • Air Dash Dash from the air. Directional burst that works anywhere, not just on the ground. Higher XP reward than ground dash.

GROUND MOVEMENT
  • Dash Instant horizontal burst on the ground. Direction-based, with configurable strength, upward pitch, and cooldown.
  • Sprint Boost Ramping speed multiplier while sprinting. Accelerates over a configurable ramp-up period to a defined max boost.
  • Slide Sneak while sprinting to slide. Configurable friction, minimum speed threshold, and momentum-preserving boost at the end.
  • Bunny Hop Timed jumps within a configurable window chain together for increasing speed. Maximum speed cap keeps it balanced.
  • Roll Landing Sneak before hitting the ground to roll. Absorbs fall damage by a configurable percentage and grants a forward speed boost.
  • Launch Pads Define any block as a launch pad. Slime, honey, redstone, or emerald blocks send you flying with configurable force and direction.

WALL & ENVIRONMENT
  • Wall Jump Jump off vertical surfaces. Configurable horizontal push and upward lift. Short cooldown prevents infinite wall climbing.
  • Wall Run Run along walls for a configurable duration. Auto-detaches when the timer runs out. Slide speed and forward speed are both tunable.
  • Vault Jump toward a 1-block-high ledge to vault over it automatically. Smooth parkour flow without manual jump timing.
  • Ledge Grab Grab ledges when you would otherwise fall. Hang and climb up, or drop off manually. Perfect for precise platforming.
  • Climb Assist Hold jump near climbable surfaces to ascend faster. Smooth, assisted vertical traversal on ladders and vines.

SYSTEM MODULES
  • Momentum Builds as you sprint, jump, dash, and wall run. Decays when stationary. Seven Flow Ranks (D to SSS) grant increasing ability multipliers.
  • Speed Chaining Kills within a configurable window grant stacking speed boosts. Chain up to a set maximum. Each kill extends the chain timer.
  • Fall Protection Configurable passive fall damage reduction. Keeps the movement flowing without punishing vertical exploration.

Core Systems

Momentum Engine & Flow Ranks
  • Real-time momentum bar that builds from movement and decays on inactivity
  • Seven Flow Ranks: D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS. Each rank amplifies ability strength (from +5% to +55%)
  • Rank-up and rank-down messages with sound. Maximum momentum triggers special feedback
  • Displayed via Boss Bar, Action Bar, XP bar, or Scoreboard. Fully configurable

Stamina System
  • Every ability costs stamina. Run out and you enter exhaustion: slowed, no abilities, forced cooldown
  • Regen rates are configurable per situation: base, grounded bonus, flow state multiplier, post-usage delay
  • Per-ability stamina costs in config.yml. Tune every module independently
  • Displayed on Action Bar, Boss Bar, XP bar, or Scoreboard

Skill Tree & Progression
  • Three branches: Mobility, Jumping, and Mastery. Each skill has up to 5 upgrade levels
  • Prerequisite system: unlock Sprint Boost level 2 before Dash. Player level gates each tier
  • Effects per level: module multipliers, cooldown reductions, permanent speed increases
  • Mastery bonuses unlock when a skill reaches max level: permanent passives, cosmetics, and auras
  • Prestige resets your level and skill tree while granting permanent prestige bonuses up to Prestige 10

Movement XP & Leveling
  • Earn XP from every movement action: walking, sprinting, jumping, dashing, wall running, and more
  • Linear or exponential leveling formula. Level cap, XP scaling, and gain rates all configurable
  • Kill XP and achievement XP bonuses reward combat movement and milestone completion

GUI System
  • Main menu via /mvp: modules, cosmetics, skill tree, achievements, stats, loadouts, profiles
  • Admin panel: live module toggle, XP management, preset loading, player management
  • Paginated menus, animated icons, configurable glass-pane filler, 45 items per page
  • Cosmetics browser with unlock requirements shown directly in the GUI

Profiles & Presets
  • Profiles: per-world movement tuning. Gravity, jump strength, air control, friction, speed retention
  • Presets: one-click full plugin configuration. RPG, Parkour, Survival, Skyblock, Dying Light, Titanfall, Half-Life, Hub, Vanilla
  • Load a preset and have every module, value, and setting applied instantly. No restart required
  • Built-in profiles: Parkour (tight air control), Vanilla+ (subtle enhancements), Dying Light (extreme parkour)

Region & World Integration
  • Per-module toggles per world and per region. Disable Dash in spawn, keep Wall Run in the parkour arena
  • Auto-detects WorldGuard, Lands, PlotSquared, and GriefPrevention on startup
  • Custom region flags: no-dash, no-wall-run, no-double-jump, no-momentum

Cosmetics
  • Jump effects, dash trails, landing shockwaves, persistent movement trails, and name titles

Achievements
  • 45 achievements with 4-tier progression per module (25, 100, 500, 2000 uses)

Ability Builder
  • Create up to 50 custom movement abilities. Define cooldown, velocity multiplier, jump force, particles, and sounds
  • Every custom ability can be assigned its own permission node for access control
  • Built directly in-game via the admin GUI. No YAML editing required

Loadouts
  • Players save and name their preferred module configurations
  • Switch loadouts with one command. Parkour loadout for the course, combat loadout for PvP
  • Admin-created global loadouts available to all players

Data Storage
  • SQLite, MySQL, or MariaDB via HikariCP connection pool. Fully async save and load
  • Synchronous flush on server shutdown prevents data loss
  • YAML flat-file fallback. Mode selected in config.yml, no code changes needed

Multi-Language
  • 15 built-in languages: EN, DE, ES, FR, PL, ZH, CS, IT, JA, KO, PT, RU, TR, UK, UK_UA
  • All messages use MiniMessage with full hex color and gradient support
