Mention Plus v1.0

Most chat mention plugins do one thing: let players tag each other. MentionPlus goes further. It gives you player pings, area alerts for nearby players, global broadcasts to everyone online, and role-based group mentions powered by LuckPerms. Every ping type has its own sound, cooldown, permission, and display format. All configurable. All live-reloadable.

The built-in GUI editor lets admins tweak every setting without opening a single text file. Switch languages, adjust cooldowns, add or remove groups, manage disabled worlds, all from an in-game menu. No restarts. No file editing. Just point and click.



◆ Player Pings

• Type a player name in chat to ping them with a sound and visual alert
• Players can customize their own ping display with a simple command
• Toggle personal ping notifications on or off anytime
• Respects vanish, AFK status, and ignore lists via EssentialsX

◆ Area Pings

• Ping every player within a configurable radius around you
• Default keyword: @nearby (fully configurable)
• Keep the radius low for performance on large servers

◆ Global Pings

• Broadcast a ping to every player currently online
• Default keyword: Everyone (fully configurable)
• Longer default cooldown to prevent spam

◆ Role Pings

• Ping a specific LuckPerms group using @groupname
• Each group gets its own sound, display, and cooldown
• Disable specific groups from being mentioned at all
• Assign group colors that tint the mention in chat

Run /mp config and a full in-game menu opens. You can edit:

• Language selection from all 26 installed languages
• Update notifications toggle
• Chat prefix customization
• Ping limit per message
• Vanish, AFK, and ignore respect toggles
• Group color management
• Disabled worlds list management
• Per-ping-type settings: enabled state, sound, keyword, display, cooldown, radius
• Per-group settings: add, remove, configure individual groups

Changes are saved instantly. No config reload needed. The menu handles all special cases, nested sections, and value validation on its own.




All integrations are soft dependencies. MentionPlus works perfectly fine without any of them, gracefully disabling the features that need them.
