NoteTracker ♫ is a lightweight Spigot/Paper utility plugin built for Minecraft builders, redstone engineers, and note-block musicians who need instant feedback while tuning instruments and timing circuits.
Stop guessing note pitches and repeater delays. Simply look at any Note Block or Repeater within range and see live values in your ActionBar no menus, no commands, no item required. When your build is perfect, wax-lock blocks with a Honeycomb (or any item you choose) so nobody can accidentally retune, break, or destroy your work.
Whether you run a creative server, a redstone showcase world, or a survival community with musical builds, NoteTracker keeps compositions safe and readable at a glance.

What you get

• Live ActionBar HUD - Aim at a Note Block to see its current pitch (clicks/24). Aim at a Repeater to see delay ticks (delay/4). Updates in real time as you tune.
• Wax-style lock system - Left-click a Note Block or Repeater while holding the configured lock item (default: Honeycomb) to lock it. Right-click to unlock.
• Owner-only unlocking - Each locked block remembers who locked it. Only that player can unlock it unless an admin uses bypass mode.
• Full interaction protection - Locked blocks cannot be tuned via right-click while locked.
• Break protection - Players cannot break locked blocks they do not own.
• World protection - Locked blocks are immune to TNT, creeper explosions, end crystals, respawn anchors, piston pushes, and fire.
• Admin bypass - Staff with permission can toggle bypass mode to manage any lock on the server.
• HEX color support - Customize every message with modern hex colors (&#RRGGBB) plus standard & color codes.
• 100% configurable - All ActionBar messages, chat feedback, lock item, and lock enable/disable are editable in config.yml.
• Performance-first design - In-memory tracking, no database, minimal tick overhead. Safe for busy servers.

How it works (in-game)
1. Install the plugin and restart your server.
2. Look at any Note Block or Repeater — the ActionBar shows its current state instantly.
3. Hold a Honeycomb (or your configured item) and left-click to lock a block.
4. Right-click the same block to unlock it (owner only).
5. Admins run /notetracker bypass to temporarily override ownership restrictions.

Regular players need no permission to use the HUD or lock their own blocks.

Configuration highlights
All messages support %clicks%, %delay%, and %owner% placeholders. Example from default config:
