Spoils
Spoils adds randomized ARPG-style loot to your server. Killing hostile mobs can drop weapons, armor, and tools with a rarity, rolled affixes, and sometimes empty sockets. Players use one menu, the Forge, to reforge, socket, fuse, salvage, and identify what they find. Spoils runs its own combat engine instead of vanilla attributes, so it behaves the same on every supported version.
Built for: Survival, SMP, dungeons, and any PvE server that wants RPG-style gear progression.
Rarities and affixes
Sockets, gems, and fusing
Gear sets
Two sets can appear on generated gear, each with bonuses that unlock as you wear more pieces:
Identify
Epic and higher items drop unidentified. Take one to the Forge and identify it to reveal its affixes before you can use it.
The Forge
One menu handles everything: reforge (reroll every affix on the held item), socket (slot a gem), salvage (break an item down for dust, with a confirm step so nothing is lost to a misclick), fuse (combine gems), and identify. Reforging and socketing cost dust, and you get dust back by salvaging items you do not need.
Combat
Spoils runs its own combat stat engine instead of vanilla attributes, so bonus damage, crit chance, crit damage, lifesteal, damage reduction, and thorns behave identically on every supported version. Some affixes deal bonus damage against undead, arthropod, illager, or player targets. Worn gear with a potion-effect affix reapplies that effect on a timer.
Loot drops
Drops come from a base chance on a hostile kill, and only count a kill from a player unless you turn that off. Item level rises with distance from world spawn, up to a configurable cap, and can be boosted per world. Bosses like the Ender Dragon, Wither, Warden, and Elder Guardian have their own guaranteed drop tables. Legendary and higher drops can broadcast to the whole server.

Configuration
Rarities, affixes, sets, drop chances, dust costs, gem tiers, and per-mob loot tables all live in config.yml, and player-facing text lives in messages.yml with full MiniMessage support. Run /spoils reload to apply changes without a restart. Updates add new config keys without wiping your settings.

Rarities and affixes
- 6 rarities. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic, low to high. Higher rarities roll more affixes and more empty sockets.
- Legendary and Mythic glow. The two top rarities get an enchant glint so rare drops stand out on the ground and in a hotbar.
- 20 affixes. 10 prefixes and 10 suffixes, each tied to one stat: bonus damage, crit chance, crit damage, lifesteal, damage reduction, thorns, or magic find.
- Item level scaling. Affix values scale up with the item's level, so gear found later or farther from spawn rolls stronger.
Sockets, gems, and fusing
- Sockets. Epic and higher items can roll empty sockets. Slot a gem into one at the Forge.
- Gems. Gems are crafted from amethyst shards and each carry one stat and value.
- Fusing. Combine 3 gems of the same tier into 1 of the next tier, up to tier 5. Each tier multiplies the gem's value.
Gear sets
Two sets can appear on generated gear, each with bonuses that unlock as you wear more pieces:
- Warden's Vigil (netherite armor). 2 pieces: bonus damage reduction. 4 pieces: adds thorns and regeneration.
- Reaver's Wrath (diamond and netherite weapons). 2 pieces: bonus crit chance. 4 pieces: adds lifesteal and bonus damage.
