VxKoth Ultimate Plugin v1.3

We’ve just rolled out a massive update for VxKoth, focusing on deep integrations, team-based mechanics, and monetization features for your server!

New Features​

• KOTH Starter Items (Flares): Admins can now generate physical items that instantly start a specific KOTH when right-clicked!
  • Perfect for adding to Crates or selling on your Tebex/CraftingStore.
  • Highly secure: Uses modern PersistentDataContainer (NBT) tags, meaning players cannot fake the item using an anvil.
  • Fully customizable material, name, lore, and glowing effect per-arena.
• Dynamic Team Boost: Revolutionized the KOTH meta! Capture timers will now tick significantly faster if multiple members of the same team are standing inside the KOTH zone.
  • Fully configurable multiplier (e.g., 1.5x or 2.0x faster).
  • Encourages tactical team defense instead of leaving one player alone in the zone.
• Live Discord Webhooks: Keep your community updated in real-time with rich Discord embed announcements!
  • Tracks exactly when a KOTH starts, when a player steps on the point (CAPTURE STARTED), when they step off or die (CAPTURE STOPPED), and when it is won (CAPTURED).
  • Embeds display the Capturer's Name, their active Team, and the exact Server Time.

Hooks & Integrations​

• SuperiorSkyblock2 Support: Officially added SuperiorSkyblock2 to the Team Support list! The plugin will now correctly fetch a player's island name and use it for holograms, BossBars, and Discord webhooks.

Commands & Admin Tools​

• New Command: Added /koth starter <player> <arena> [amount] to quickly distribute flares.
• Tab-Completion: Full auto-complete support added for the new command, making it easy for admins to instantly find loaded arena names and online players.

Bug Fixes & Code Improvements​

• 1.20.5+ API Compatibility: Fixed an internal build issue caused by Bukkit's recent enchantment renaming. Replaced the deprecated DURABILITY enum with the modern UNBREAKING tag to ensure flawless compiling and glowing item effects on the latest Minecraft versions.

Configuration Additions​

Your configs and arena files will auto-update with the following:

• Added settings.team-boost to config.yml to toggle the feature and set the multiplier.
• Added hooks.discord to config.yml to configure your webhook URL.
• Auto-injected starter-item settings into all existing /koths/<arena>.yml files.

To apply this update, simply replace your old .jar file and restart the server. Your configuration files will automatically update with the new settings!

New Security Layer: Vortex Licensing​

• Integrated Licensing: The plugin now requires a valid Vortex Studio License Key to operate.
• Supabase Integration: Real-time verification against our secure database.
• Remote Management: Licenses can now be remotely activated, disabled, or locked to specific plugins (plugin_name validation) to prevent unauthorized distribution.
  
  

  Bug Fixes​

  • Fixed Error 400/401 issues during license authentication.
  • Fixed a bug where the capture-start-delay would occasionally freeze the timer if set to 0.
  • Fixed Polygon particles sometimes "leaking" into the block below the floor.

This is a massive update that brings highly requested visual features, better game flow control, and deep customization to every single arena.

Complete Visual Overhaul

• Dynamic KOTH Floors: When an event starts, the floor of the capture zone will temporarily transform into a configurable block (e.g., Red Stained Glass), and revert perfectly when the event ends!
• Particle Borders: Active arenas now feature a blazing particle outline that perfectly traces your capture zone, supporting both square and custom polygon shapes.

Deep Customization

• Per-KOTH UI: BossBars and Holograms are no longer global! You can now customize the text, colors, and segments for every individual arena inside its own koths/<name>.yml file.
• Hologram Visibility: Added a new config toggle to hide Holograms completely while a KOTH is inactive.
• Hologram Relocation: Added the /vxkoth movehologram <name> command to instantly snap an arena's hologram to your exact location.

Gameplay & Loot Balancing

• Min/Max RNG Rewards: You can now set a minimum and maximum reward amount (e.g., 1 to 3 items). The plugin will randomly decide how many items to roll from the loot pool when a player wins!
• New "Hardstop" Mechanic: Prevent endless, hour-long PvP standoffs. You can now set a "Hardstop" timer that forces the KOTH to end and awards the loot to the last person who was capturing the zone!
