HexedMC Is Recruiting a General ManagerHexedMC is looking for an experienced, independent and forward-thinking General Manager to help lead the network alongside our ownership and existing management team.
We are a Minecraft network featuring gamemodes such as Prisons, Gens and Skyblock. Unlike many networks, HexedMC uses an extensive collection of custom-developed plugins, created by our in-house development team. This gives us the flexibility to build unique features, implement community ideas and create experiences that are tailored specifically to our network.
HexedMC has completed approximately five successful map releases, previously reaching around 50–100 concurrent players during active periods. We have proven that the network has potential, but our small team and outside commitments have sometimes made it difficult to maintain the consistency needed to grow.
We are now looking for someone who can help change that.
About the RoleThe General Manager will hold the second-highest level of authority within HexedMC, working closely with the ownership team to oversee the network’s operations and ensure that projects, updates and ideas continue moving forward.
This is not a position for someone who needs to wait for the owners to provide instructions for every task.
We are looking for someone who can understand the ownership team’s vision, confidently make decisions within their responsibilities and take the initiative to identify what needs to be done.
You will be expected to communicate regularly with the owners while still being capable of working independently and taking responsibility for the network’s progress.
ResponsibilitiesAs General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the general operation and development of the network Assigning tasks to managers, developers and other relevant team members Ensuring projects, updates and releases remain organised and continue progressing Liaising directly with the ownership team regarding plans, priorities and important decisions Supporting and improving the performance of the existing management team Holding team members accountable and following up on incomplete tasks Reviewing suggestions and feedback submitted by the community Adapting community suggestions into practical and realistic concepts Presenting developed ideas to the ownership team for discussion Helping plan and coordinate future map releases Configuring, testing and troubleshooting complex Minecraft plugins Identifying potential problems before they negatively affect the network Taking initiative without constantly relying on the ownership teamStaff recruitment, punishments and internal moderation decisions will primarily be handled by our dedicated Staff Manager However, the General Manager’s insight and opinions will still be highly valued when important staffing decisions are discussed.
Plugin Configuration ExperiencePlugin configuration will be a major part of this role.
Applicants should be extremely comfortable working with Minecraft plugins and server configurations, particularly:
Writing and editing YAML configuration files Configuring complex and heavily customisable plugins Debugging configuration errors and console errors Understanding permissions systems Working with PlaceholderAPI placeholders and expansions Reading documentation and implementing new systems independently Working with JSON configuration files where required Understanding the basics of SQL and database-backed plugins Testing changes safely before applying them to a live environment Balancing economies, progression systems, rewards and other gameplay featuresDevelopment experience is beneficial but is not required. We have an in-house development team responsible for creating our custom plugins.
However, you must be able to communicate clearly with developers, report issues properly and configure the systems they create.

Is at least 16–17 years old Has previous management experience within a Minecraft network Can dedicate approximately 10 or more hours per week Is active and reachable throughout the day Communicates clearly, professionally and consistently Can work independently without needing constant instructions Is reliable and follows through on responsibilities Is confident assigning tasks and managing ongoing projects Is highly experienced with Minecraft plugin configuration Can troubleshoot problems and remain calm under pressure Is comfortable working closely with owners, managers and developers Can take constructive criticism and provide it respectfully Understands how to turn broad ideas into actionable plans Is forward-thinking and actively looks for ways to improve the network Genuinely wants to help build a successful and long-lasting Minecraft communityWe are not looking for someone who simply wants a management title.
We need someone who is prepared to take responsibility, remain consistent and become an important part of HexedMC’s leadership team.
What You Will ReceiveAlthough this position is currently unpaid, the General Manager will have the opportunity to become a major part of HexedMC’s future.

Trial PeriodApplicants with strong and clearly demonstrated experience may be accepted directly into the position.
However, applicants whose previous experience does not fully demonstrate the standard required may initially be placed into a trial period.

Communication Reliability Activity Plugin configuration ability Leadership Initiative Ability to work independently Compatibility with the ownership and management teamSuccessful completion of the trial period may lead to the applicant becoming HexedMC’s permanent General Manager.
