$500,000 - Buying large MC server

Hi,

Me and my partner, Daniel Wood, are looking to purchase a fairly large Minecraft server. Our budget can go up to $500,000 (USD), although I am fairly sure there aren't many server owners who has a server that large on McM.
Obviously if you're server makes $10,000 a month we won't be spending $500k on the purchase so please don't try to play smart with us - offer us a price and we will negotiate from there.

Requirements:
Makes at least ~$10,000/per month.
Isn't going 'down' - playerbase is steady or on rise, and the same with donations.
Community wouldn't mind a change of management too much.

We have no interest in deleting old servers, just adding new ones - of course resets on Factions etc. will be done as per usual but Creative worlds etc. would stay.

It's extremely funny for me because I remember Platon having next to no money.

I agree, him and Daniel Wood a month or two ago were even looking for investors in their server called Qubic Gaming, https://www.mc-market.org/threads/4296/ , but if they really have 500k I see no reason why they would need investments in their server. Anyway it seems fishy to me.

Ok i havent't read half these comments but I'll expain once again to all those critising our actions: $500,000 is the absolute max we are going to pay - we could be paying as little as $50k on a server. If we get offers that make $50k+ monthly, then im sure its worth a few $100k but i doubt that is going to happen,

This is just like investing $50k or $500k in a real life business - please dont assume we aim to spend all of it on something that is not worth it. We have already thought about all the risks involved, how much we need to spend etc.

And i reitarate AGAIN to those who still dont understand - 500k is the MAX, we probably wont end up going anywhere near there with the offers we get.

Why would you be posting this on MCM anyway? All you need to do is reach out to the big servers that you want to buy and make them an offer.

Believe me, no one on MCM meets your criteria exept maybe Software / Staggered with PrimeMC or KrunchyChrome with KrunchyKraft.

And even then, if you just have 50k to spend, why wouldn't you make your own server? It would be so much better than buying one.

I never said that people were saying he can't do it. I said; if you aren't selling a server, or leaving questions/feedback, get off the thread.
