LOOKING FOR UPCOMING DEVELOPERS​

Who are you?​

Hi there! I’m the lead of development at an upcoming survival server. We are currently in season 2 of our server which averages 5-10 players. We’re working on reworking the server and making fun exciting features for Season 3!

Is this position paid?​

As of now, no. All money we receive via donations goes straight back into funding our server costs. This position is not meant to be your job, it’s meant to provide you a path to possibly get one. We’re looking for possibly less skilled developers, that want server experience but don’t know where to start!

What are the requirements?​

I’m limited in the time that I have currently, and I’m not really able to take a student under my wing. However, if you’re not confident in your coding abilities I’d be happy to assist you at any time. The requirements for this job are:

• The ability to use discord (our main communication platform)
• Simple knowledge of git. Also, have a GitHub account as this is how we will be sharing code (Know the basics or learn them before applying)
• BE ABLE TO LEARN BY YOURSELF (this is the biggest requirement. You don’t need to be the best dev in the world but you need to be able to learn to do things you’ve never done before)
• Have some coding experience with Spigot/Bukkit
• Know how to create and import a maven project. (Optional but preferred as we do not work with Gradle)
• At least 1-2 simple plugins that you can at least partially present to prove your knowledge

no and the problem here is.. that you literally provided a requirements...

These requirements are barebone, I don't want someone to apply that will not be able to code.

Goodluck getting someone without any payment

We've had a good amount of applicants, I made it clear the job was not paid and was just a position to gain experience. We are financially not in a position to pay a developer, this is because we have closed our donations currently. Most newer developers will have a hard time finding paid positions without server experience, so this is just an opportunity to do so
