Hey there,

I am selling exclusive rights to the Custom Launcher I have developed for my Tekkit Classic server, which never really took off. The launcher itself had tons and I mean tons of work done to it, so I believe someone else could get good use out of it. The launcher has a dynamic news feed which is loaded from a AWS web URL. This means, the news can be changed & edited without requiring everyone's copy of the Launcher to update. I have put countless hours into this launcher and figured somebody else's network could be a good home for it.

I'd say about 300+ just based on the time spent on this alone. I wish I kept track of the exact amount of hours I spent on the entire thing, but didn't.

What are you looking to be customizable? As it stands right now, custom themes can be made for it, the news feed is 100% dynamic and it's a web page that can be changed any way possible. Lastly, there is a settings tab that allows you to customize settings within the launcher.

300$ and over is a lot for a launcher...

Ehhh not really. Not when it comes with resell rights, source for both the launcher & aws content. The design is sleek and it's highly malleable. This will only be sold once, as it's exclusive. I'd say 300$ is high, if it WASNT exclusive, but that's not the case.

Yeah, but I think you'd do more cash by selling a without source plan, so personal use only, i'd make a lot more sales, just a small tip as I am a developer too and I'm using facts to help you.

Ahahah I am sure you're a developer. I've been doing this for about 7 years myself. I have no interest in setting up some bs payment method so people can use the launcher. I am essentially selling the project off to someone else who is interested in implementing a private launcher for their server or something. I have no interest in the project itself anymore. Thanks for your advice however.

To simply put it, I am not looking to use this launcher to get the most money. I would like to genuinely get rid of the project, and set it up with someone who will get good use from it.

Perhaps I would've designed the launcher a bit different if it was meant to be used as a general launcher, however it was more designed to compliment a well made server. That's why the news feed is customizable as some server owners will be filling in their own news. It's meant to install the game & specific files setup by the server owner. This way, the launcher can setup custom mods on behalf of a server (if it were to use them per say), or better yet, run anti-cheat checks.

Cool, but there's a French website that makes you do custom launchers with custom feeds, and stuff too. And it's free, why should we take yours instead of another the free one?

Heheheh I mean it looks terrible, reminds me of like the old old old mc launcher mojang used to use, but it is free, and absolutely an option. I'd still stick with the prices I listed due to the extra features that this one has such; sleek look & custom theme-able, auto updater (for both game files & launcher), chromium embedded browser (skinview, newsfeed) all the way to the enhanced profile & switching page, is definitely worth it.
