I haven't run into any trouble with Gruss and honestly have no opinion of my own. However, if what is being said about him is factual, no staff member should bring emotion or personal opinion into making decisions. If this is what he is doing he should be demoted.
I don't think the issue is with Gruss.
It seems to me like staff decided that warnings should be worth more points as part of some sort of group decision, as we now see people receiving large 5 point warnings or even 10 point warnings for things in the past that would have only received 1-3 warning points. I myself recently received five warning points for a post that, in my genuine opinion, broke zero rules. There's been a huge crackdown on rule-breaking on the site and I don't really understand the reason why.
I think that the rules need to be loosened up so that people are able to post on this forum or talk in the shoutbox without fear of randomly receiving 5-10 warning points and immediately getting suspended. I think that the sheer amount of warning points people are receiving for their warnings needs to be *drastically* reduced, as obviously someone receiving 10 warning points is just obscene.
My understanding of these warnings is that they are pre-defined by the administrators, so Gruss really has no say in how many points you get. He picks the reason for the warning and the pre-defined warning points assigned to that are what gets applied to you.
People are complaining about the wrong thing and are focusing their anger on the wrong person. People should be angry at the people at the top of this website who stopped giving a shit about it, rather than being angry at the people who are enforcing the rules and policies those people at the top decided.

You know what rule needs to be removed? The no arguing with staff rule. It's been abused beyond belief by the staff team. Whether their losing an argument or inciting an argument they use this rule as a scapegoat to distribute warnings and silence users.

Also, there's a staff reports section under the support tickets thing. Most likely the user you are reporting is going to reply though and possibly close it, cause ya know..

I don't know if this would make me biased - but Gruss is a friend and employer of mine - and he is a great guy. From what I've heard he does his job and he does it rather agressively. I don't think it is his fault at all, and he shouldn't get demoted for it. The rules around MCM are just a tad bit tighter than they used to be, and chatbox rules are rather specific.

Its simple why I disagree,

I have seen him in SB and he does give verbal warnings before the acctual ones.
