Hello there!
My name is Directoire. I've been programming in various programming languages for around 5 years and have worked within various companies in IT-related positions. Since 4 years ago I also started working on Discord bots and have made several ones over the past few years. I've created my own multi-purpose Discord bots that eventually got me the "Early Verified Bot Developer" badge. Since 2020 I also have a YouTube channel to teach others how to for instance make their own Discord bots containing various features ranging from a simple ping command to image generation commands.
1. What am I offering?
I work on these bots myself and work on these as a hobby. Therefore, I only take one commission at a time to ensure the quality that you deserve and on-time delivery. I'm offering my development services for feature-rich Discord bots. This means that a commission would either have to require a lot of functionality or complex functionalities.
2. What do you charge?
My prices start at 50 USD. However, as each bot has its own requirements, I will make a quote (for free) beforehand with the ad hoc pricing.
3. Do you include hosting?
Yes, but this is an extra. The pricing of SaaS however depends on the features of your bot.
4. Can you help me install my bot?
Yes, this is included in my price. I will help you install your bot on your environment, including any additional software that may be set up (such as a database).
5. How does the process work?
1. First, I like to get to know my customer. What would you like from me and what can I expect from you in return. Getting to know my customer helps me to provide you with the best bot possible.
2. Putting things on paper. After we've discussed what you'd like from me and what I can expect from you in return, I will create a quote for you. Once agreed, we will go through payment (see section 8 after which we move to the development phase of the bot.
3. Planning. The development of your bot is put into a plan to ensure that the bot is delivered on time and that everything remains properly organised.
4. Time to start coding. At this point, I will start developing the Discord bot.
5. Testing. In this phase, I will reach out to you to inform you that the development of the bot is done and that it is time to test all the features. In this phase, you can inform me about issues that I didn't notice throughout the development.
6. Deployment time. If testing went well and there are no changes left, it's time to deploy your bot so it remains online 24/7.
7. Monitoring the bot. In this phase, I will monitor your bot for about 2 to 4 weeks (depending on the features of the bot). If any issues occur that didn't happen previously (for instance because now the commands are used by a large number of users), I will be able to immediately solve those.
8. Wrapping up. If everything went well during the monitoring phase, it is time to wrap up. This means that the development of your bot is complete and that the service is finished. I will ask you for feedback to further improve my service.
6. Do you have a resume?
Not one specifically for Discord bots. However, if you'd like, I would be more than happy to show you some of my projects over a voice call or chat.
7. Is there any source control?
Yes, the entire development process is stored on GitHub. However, the source code is shared at the end of the entire development process when paying half-half.
8. How does payment work?
Payment goes via PayPal. Depending on your reputation and whether or not we've worked before, we can determine how the payment process goes. When you are unknown to me and to this community, I will only accept before-hand or half-half payments (50% at the start, 50% at the end).
