short answer. No.

Longer answer still short.
I don't think cases will go down, if they go down it most likely will be a gradual fall rather than a quick one. So no, all schools will not re-open in the fall (some schools already confirmed online education for first quarter/half) but some will.

Tell me your opinion :)
Like I mentioned in another post of mine here on the forum, I do think my district will open school next year, because sadly in the world we live in people feel unsafe in their own homes, parents can't afford food, mental health support, and a lot of other services that kids should have as a right, don't happen, and schools are a big support building block. I think they are hoping to give one on one devices, and have more online supported stuff and a A/B schedule to go along side it to help keep everyone healthy.

If you're talking about the US, no. I agree with all the points made by PradyXT

In the UK, where cases are (gradually) reducing, all schools are reopening in September with fines for parents who don't send their kids to school unless they're shielding. I wish they'd just implement some form of social distancing / face coverings.

Chances are very slim as parents will be protective of their kids and will end up sending kids next year to school.

I've heard about the UK's cases but whenever a country eases restrictions, cases can (most likely will) go up.

Schools are opened in my country but very restricted. We only have 2-3 days of school a week and less lessons - we also don't have online classes and usually no tasks for home office and I believe that there will be a second wave because the people slowly start to underestimate the Virus and will stop to care as much as they did when the outbreak started.

People also often forget about all the economical consequences. I think it will go on for at least one or two years, some countries are still only at the beginning of the outbreak. Take care guys, don't underestimate the Virus, wear your mask, keep 6 foot distance between each other - to protect each other. Don't be ignorant.

yeah.. our cases are still going down daily.. but I can expect to see a second wave (or at least more cases) soon. My school is made up of 800 pupils, say the asymptomatic rate is 80% as it is in the UK and we all had COVID, statistically 640 of us would have 0 or little to no symptoms.

They are (slowly) expanding places where face coverings are required. I wish we looks at European countries such as Slovakia, Czech Republic, etc on how we should of handled the virus.

Sweden here:
For year 1-9, it never closed. Though, anything above that (including university) has been done from home. Those will open now.

It's quite fun to see people in the US having a massive debate on face masks knowing that literally no one here has one. Life is almost like normal here.

I heard the UKs talking about about making face masks mandatory. Unsure if it's true or not though.

Only in shops at the moment, I quote "the science has shifted on face coverings" but there's lots of people saying they will make them mandatory and lots that say they wont..

You cannot compare Sweden (or any Scandinavian countries) with the rest of Europe / USA. The population density is so much higher in other countries. So, obviously, if you encounter fewer people, you will have fewer cases.

Yeah they in Scotland they are mandatory when you go to a store but if you are just walking around in public and keeping your distant then they are not. Also mostly in UK they won't become mandatory due to us have a government that cares more about sending people back to work then try to keep them safe

So in relation to "Autumn", its different depending on where you live. But in relation to all schools opening within the upcoming months? Yes. Schools will open, but most of them will be through an online curriculum which will genuinely rob this generation of a lot of fundamentals. Most schools may refuse to open, which then I believe funding should be cut. They're required to provide education and if they aren't, then they don't deserve to be a school.

I believe that at the minimum students should be able to attend schools but a school issued mask should be given at the school's expense. Although I disagree with the whole mask idea because I believe it is stupid and it's genuinely not going to help. But it's the only way students can continue their education without being screwed over by the government's poor regulations. It's interesting how the United States works since we love to do a lot of backtracking, and removing people from power. I believe that schools in high densely populated areas should have heavier restrictions then other places. But we should not all be subject to ridiculous.

Off-topic;
The governor in my area was removed from his power because he was attempting to enforce a lot of restrictions on places that didn't need heavy restrictions. He was very back and forth too and he was a moron. So they took his power from him and they started lifting restrictions until, "second wave" came around and people started going Karen mode and everything is trying to be locked down again.

Remember, you're not required to wear a mask. It isn't a law. However, private companies can enforce policies that require you to wear a mask. Socially distancing 6 feet apart isn't going to protect you from it. But locking yourself and your children indoors isn't the right thing to do either. I'm really terrified for future generations because of how poorly the world is working right now.
