Hey there
I'm Zero, a freelance developer from Switzerland. I've recently gotten into coding plugins for Paper and Spigot but am still very early into my coding adventure.
As part of an attempt to get better at coding, I'm looking for cool little projects to work on. Here's how it works:
You describe your idea for a plugin in this forum post and I evaluate if this is something I could try to code. If its approved, I'll let you know about it and start coding.
You get to enjoy a free plugin and I get to learn more about plugin development. Win - win, don't you think?
However, this comes with some basic rules:
- As I am offering this as a free service, I have no direct obligations to complete or maintain projects.
- I will try my best to fix issues, but only if they are reported properly. Please include descriptions of issues and not just "doesn't work".
- The plugins must be small to medium sized. Possible ideas are chat-games, small community features or systems that utilize other API's (addons). I will not code your next Prison-server core.
- Plugins must be ethical. I'm not gonna code you some malicious dupe plugin or something that is clearly ment to harm others.
- Plugins will be coded to be native for 1.21.x or 1.20.x. I am not bothering to code plugins for outdated versions.
That's all for now. Feel free to drop your ideas here in this post. Here's the template for a plugin idea:
Name: Give it a fitting name
Description: Describe the plugin. Make sure to describe what it does, why its useful and how it could be used. This should be at least 50 words.
Technical details: Include all technical details you think this plugin would need such as hooks into other plugins for compability and details such as edgecases.
References: Got an idea for what this could look like? Already know of a plugin that does something similar but isn't updated anymore or paywalled? Include links and images as refference!
