We all make mistakes in our life and we have to build onto it, and so I think users should be able to appeal bans.

If it's a ban for breaking rules users can appeal and show why the ban should be lifted. They can give reasons on why they deserve a second chance and what they will improve on.

Now if the ban has something to do with scamming, I think a second chance should be given only if the scammed users gives an apology to the scammer. Also the scammer must return the goods scammed and also give reasons on why they should be unbanned.

I think people deserve second chances, and we aren't perfect -- we are all human and we make mistakes. Mistakes are what make us improve.

Scammers no.

I would never scam money from anyone I'm not that kind of person, Sure maybe the occasional weapon on cosmicpvp or something but that doesn't have the same meaning as actual money does.

Rulebreakers yes.

You can mature a lot, I have warning points from when I started on the site but I can't get them removed because they can't find what I said in the database or something along those lines.

This part is true.

As for the scammers.
Anol was wrongly banned I believe yesterday when accused of scamming.
I have him on Skype and he was actually scammed.
The banning went backwards though. Odd.

And the scammer returns what they scammed.[DOUBLEPOST=1485798637][/DOUBLEPOST]Also what many fail to understand is people change. Mistakes are what make us human, and even a scammer can get a warm heart.
I get people change. But when it comes to money and scamming.
You get a one time change for that.
You scam your gone.
Especially when you scam for $100s

Venture, wait, what? The reason scammers get banned is because they cannot refund the money.

And think about this logically for a second, scammer has scammed 2000+ dollars, they have to pay 2000 dollars just to get back on the site?
Yeah, I highly doubt people will pay back the money.
Especially when they probably spent it XD

Yea, like a scammer can only appeal once.
If they scam twice then they're over with.

Or like they can appeal in 6months time

Most likely when they come back. They will just scam for more when they feel like it.

Yeah, let's give a scammer another chance to scam some more money, great idea!
I see absolutely no reason why someone who is actually confirmed scamming to get a second chance. The only reason to give them a second chance is if they were banned for not having the money to pay someone/refund them, and even that is circumstantial.

While there may be a very few rare people who have actually become better and more mature, the majority of scammers who 'get a second chance' will pretend to be more mature for long enough to get pardoned and lose their reputation as a scammer, and will then scam again.
It simply is not worth it to let those individuals who demonstrated they have very little morals back on for a second chance after they claim they gained some more.

YOYOYO. Anyways, I disagree with everything this suggestion has too offer. Give scammers another chance to scam? No way. Give rulebreakers another chance to rule-break, and even maybe scam? No. Not happening.

I'm not saying just give an unban like so.
I'm saying allow users to appeal, but it comes with requirements;

> They can appeal in 6months time
> They must refund what they scammed
> The scammer must get an apology from the scammed
> They get a tag/banner saying "Deal with Caution" or "Past Scammer"
> They must state why they should be unbanned, have they changed etc.

I still see no reason why we should bother. The only ones who should even be considered are those that failed to pay back because of actual lack of funds (say, a failed loan). The rest consciously scammed.
Also, giving them a "past scammer" tag will mean that almost nobody will deal with them anyway, so whats the point of letting them back on? they're more likely to find people to deal with via other sites.
Scamming has and always will be the one unforgivable act on McMarket. I see 0 reason why they deserve for that to be changed.
