I've recently upgraded my server to 1.10 with the upgrade of buying Factions UUID and having to install all the recent updates for all my plugins, I've had a few problems there and then but the one issue I still am facing is that GroupManger won't work and I wonder why.

That is based on opinion.

Yes, GroupManager is outdated, but I use it on my 1.10 server and it works well.
Invert - This sounds like a local error; Backup your permissions file and any other essential things you want to keep then delete and reinstall Essentials GroupManager. Also, for your Factions plugin, you didn't need to buy Factions UUID, MassiveCore's Factions plugin is UUID equipped.

I highly advise you don't continue using GroupManager, maybe try PEX? I used GroupManager at the start because it looked easier but then I changed to PEX and I like it more. Hope your problem gets solved though man!
