My computer, it was lagging a lot, and I couldn't shut it down manually, so i flipped the power supply, and unplugged. now when i turn the computer on, the fans and stuff spin, but nothing on screen happens. And for some inexplicable reason my mouse lights up but my keyboard doesn't. Did I fry my mobo?

Go to the technic store and ask them to fix it

Yes taking it somewhere or to someone who know computers can help you figure out what's wrong. Next time though I am assuming you could not power down from the GUI. You should holds the physical power button until it power downs from there. Then wait a few minutes then power it back on. Also if you haven't go get yourself a power strip and hook up your system and monitor to prevent over feeding them with power (such as with surges).

I'll try using a powerstrip, thanks for the advice.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again :p

If you have, you probably should have someone smart fix the hardware (that is what it sounds like your problem is). Us on MCM cant fix your hardware problem if that is what it is ;)

Good luck

It's a weird problem, it happened to me before too. Thinking about waiting it out.

Unless it's a cooling related problem waiting won't do a thing. If you do not already do this you should get yourself a can of air, a mask, and a vacuum. Then outside when it nice open that thing up and clean it out (suck up the larger dusts with the vacuum and then spray out the rest with the can). Then clean it out every 6-12 months depending on how dirty it usually get. This will help keep the fans do their things of getting enough air in and being able to push out the hot/warm air outside.

It's either your GPU or your monitor.

If you have a integrated GPU (most Intel CPU's have this) try pluggin your screen into your motherboard.
I also suggest trying your screen with a different device to make sure it's not your screen.

EDIT: I'm also just assuming you actually have a desktop PC. If you have a laptop, the above steps might not help troubleshooting.

Tried that, it doesn't work. I don't have any other monitors, I can try a TV maybe? Is it possibly due to my PSU? I had this same problem before and waiting it out fixed it.
