It's gonna be a category 2 by the time it hits Savannah...
At the time of my posting, the hurricane was predicted to hit us at atleast cat3 dead on. However with how the path has drastically changed and such, we'll only be hit by tropical storm level winds and rain with a bit of a storm surge, so we're staying.

That's a simplistic way of looking at, there are many REASONS why you can't just evacuate. Yes that's the best option but financially no. You're basically leaving with whatever money you have, which may not even be a lot. You have to take into account what direction the hurricane is headed towards, what hotels aren't BOOKED, what gas stations have GAS. How much family members you are taking, location to another state of another relative/friend but many people as seemingly young as you don't seem to get the gist of situations such as this. Why you use "... most people have the brains.." to point out the obvious. Yes you can leave without the government alerts such as Evacuations or "state of emergency" but there is much more at play then just being smart.
Walk, bike, scooter, skate, run, jog.

Irma's currently weakening in Georgia. I hope everyone in Florida (that includes people that live in FL in this thread) is doing well! Now we just have Hurricane Jose to worry about. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
