Hello, my name is CashingOut. I am currently putting a lot of thought into making a brand new Minecraft Factions server, and I have many ideas but am not a Dev myself. I am looking for someone to not only make a few plugins for me and then leave, but a Dev who is associated with my network and will make a good profit. I will discuss more details with anyone who needs.

YES THIS IS A DUPLICATE THREAD FROM ONE IN ANOTHER SECTION, I DECIDED THAT THIS THREAD COULD GO IN BOTH SECTIONS SO I DID.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

What plugins are you currently needing made as well as how much is your budget for the dev?

Well, plugins wise I do not want to state my current ideas until I know that the person I am talk to actually is a Developer who has the potential to make it. These are private ideas some I have never seen used before. Also, I could pay a set amount to the Dev at first if that is what's needed, but I was hoping to give the Dev a percent of profit that the server makes. Me and whoever would be the Dev would of course agree on this amount in a reasonable range.

Just going to notify you now that no one on this site will work for a percentage cut, so it would be in your best interests to post a budget on the thread and to note you're paying per plugin. Sorry about this but I thought I'd say it before someone said it in a more harsh manner.

Obviously if you build trust with the developer over time it might be an option, but seeming as you're new and your server hasn't released yet there is no guarantee of pay if someone were to go down that road.

Hope you find what you're looking for :)
Thank you, but however in a way I disagree which is why I have said ask if you need more information. I have youtubers 2 with over 100k willing to record when it's all said and done. I'm not saying that can guarantee a large income, however it could guarantee more then you will probably make by getting paid by the plugin.

However, I disagree with you. There are many opportunities for a server to fail. Just because you have some medium sized YouTubers, does not mean your server will last in the long run.
I agree with you 100%, however you still have not even heard the whole deal. First off, everything that I do is with a contract, I wont work with out one. In the contract it will state that you will receive whatever percent of profit we agree on, and if the percent of profit does not reach a certain amount, (for this example lets use $200) then they will still receive $200.

These are the sort of details you include in your thread.

We have no way of knowing that unless you tell us, which is why we were asking for more information in the first place :)
Okay, I am sorry. This is actually the first time I have used MCM to do something like this.

Very few developers on here are 18+, meaning many cannot sign contracts to begin with. Also, its not the fact that we are generally worried that you wont pay the developers, but the fact that you might make little to no money.
I am not 18 myself, you yourself can not sign a contract, however your parents can. My parents know that I make money online and have had to sign contracts in the past. I understand if you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents about it. That just means that i will not be working with you.

Actually even then that won't work for most lawyers that make the contract for you. Both parties have to be 18 in order for a contract to be valid, this is why you don't see development contracts with anyone under the age of 18.

Contracts are not only valid if made by a lawyer. Anybody can make a contract, and as soon as it is signed it is now valid.

Actually depending on the state you currently reside in, you may have to get the contract notarized.

In order for a contract to be valid it must normally contain 2 things, both parties must be in agreement over everything in the contract, and their must be a good, some kind of money or something in that nature being exchanged or agreed on being exchanged.

In some cases you would even put the amount of time it will take or the offer will last or the contract will last.
