Alright, this is going to be 100% how I feel about this. It's getting annoying to see random users who have like +7 ratings and no transactions made on MCM spamming threads like, "HUH KID WHERES THE PROOF HUH IM PRETTY SURE YOU'RE A SCAMMER YOU LOW LIFE TRASHY KID LOGIN TO MINEPLEX LOBBY 1 IN 10 SECONDS OR YOU'RE A SCAMMER KID KID KID." The saddest part is, it's not just these random users, I've seen well known and long-time users doing it. MCM has become so paranoid with scammers that it's ridiculous. I saw a thread where a kid offered to go FIRST and he was being called a scammer. Not only does this apply to general transactions, but to the whole cracking thing. Now you all are going to sit and say, "but Kenny Skill is trying to screw the economy up BECAUSE HES A GREEDY PRICK AND HE WANTS OUR MONEY." No, he's not. He's thinking of a way to combat cracking, something that, whether all you 14-year-olds thinks is right or not, is wrong. To be honest, I'd even understand if you could prove that no one has used the acc. for years and they are probably grown and forgot the emails and passwords etc., BUT SOME OF Y'ALL CRACK ANYTHING. Just like some kid on a thread said, he had his cape account cracked and sold on MCM, AN ACTIVE USER. That's all besides the point, I'm going a little off-topic. The whole point is, can we honestly adopt a fair policy for all of this? No one should be allowed to call scams on someone just because they'd prefer to provide private proof or aren't home. It's worse than sales trashing through price, it's damaging a reputation. In the real world, it's called libel and it's illegal, Anthony R can back me up on this. I'd like to see the rule put in place that you libelous speech be something against the rules from now on and everyone, even people in scam reports, are innocent until PROVEN guilty.

Good day, thank you.

lol how does it not have anything to do with scammers if you are talking about scammers. i've never gone into a thread and done the shit you're talking about, i'm just defending the people who do because I think new members/people with no rep/posts deserve to be interrogated and treated this way because in all likelihood they actually are scammers. All markets everywhere work this way. You can't just wander into some site and start peddling shit and not expect people to be wary of you and what you're selling.

you should calm down i think and take some deep breaths, we are all friends here and i am just responding to your posts in a friendly and rational manner. i don't know why you have to get so hostile about it.
1.) I don't like you
2.) You trash threads w/ opinions like this and it ticks me off
3.) You farm rates and posts
4.) THIS ISN'T ABOUT SCAMMERS IT'S ABOUT PEOPLE BEING PARANOID AND REPETIVE.

how about you go deal with a bunch of low-rep/message users and tell us how it goes ^_^
1.) DiabloTurtle
2.) Dezived
3.) MCBuilderPro
4.) ROFL
5.) TheLazyScarecrow before even any rep
6.) Check my sig for even more
I don't care to deal with low rep users cause I'm not a cunt.

Look I agree with your rep idea. But fuck off because everyone needs to provide proof for selling an account. Every shop even if the OP has lots of ratings they still provide proof. Some of the qouted msgs never said he was a scammer, we only asked for proof. I would expect a lot of people to ask for proof for the name too since none was provided. It's fucking "Mojang" and there wasn't any proof provided. Why wouldn't anyone not ask for proof. Now your right this is a forum market with no rep system. Thats why people use ratings and vouches to determine their trust. If he had provided proof when posting the account there woudn't be much fuss. All they wanted was proof and with no rep system, this is the safest way to be sure your getting what you want if you do buy it. You were on a good topic for having a rep system but after that your just saying a load of shit about how "we", MC-Market try to secure our transactions.
Secure? All you guys did waste pester the kid about proof. That's not "secure." What you said was a.) rude, b.) suggestive
If you want secure, then PM him for proof. Don't just get ticked off about everything and spam his thread asking him to prove it like he's lying.

Even when a new member provides proof of an account, they're still viable to scamming you. Happened to me twice. The most recent time because some guy vouched for him just because he owned a server. I strongly believe that new members should be willing to go first when dealing with high rep members.
Exactly. Proof provides nothing, there's a billion other ways to secure deals. On top of this, some people would just rather keep the deals and proof to PMs instead of open on threads.

To anyone who is saying that nobody should buy from new members:

How do you have any rep?
You sir, you are amazing.

Proof shouldnt be something we need to ask for, especially with an account he was asking $500+ for. It should be given without it being asked for.

i built my reputation by selling little things and making lots of posts and getting along with people before making big deals. also I had the benefit of montyburly being here, and she already had a rep and I was just really working with her.

Build a rep by selling cheap semi-OG's, builds, or OG's, and going first in all the deals. Post a lot and build yourself up in the community. It's easy to do this. Buy things from people and let people see that you are someone who pays. Get vouches from people you buy from. This is how you establish yourself on MC-Market and avoid people calling you a scammer. We all did this, and everyone new should also have to do this. it is the best way to prevent scamming.

You sir, you are amazing.

i don't care about your first three points because they are totally irrelevant to the discussion. i'm saying that people doing that to potential scammers keeps scammers at bay and helps protect people on this site, and that not scaring away scammers like that would make this site a breeding ground for them. why do you want it to be easier to scam???

Just replying to what you quoted me on. And the user we are using as an example has not provided anything but the account name.

People do that to people with +500 rep. It's annoying af and some people may post a sell thread on their phone and by the time they are home to post proof they are spammed with "show me proof" "looks like a scam"

Honestly, I've told you once, gtfo my thread.

Clearly, it's on the thread afterwards. But I believe you said, "hmm scam?" That's annoying and there's not sense to assume it's a scam.

What I said was before the proof was given. I mean the initial post before people started bitching
"I'm not on my PC atm"
Cause that's not assuming anything or calling him out.

We can't really control the spam in asking for proof since it's each individual member's choice to reply that. Asking for proof is a easy way to show everyone you have the product. You said that there's other ways but it doesn't really matter because providing proof doesn't have any negative effect. We aren't saying he is lying, providing proof simply tells us that he has the account and that no one else can say that they have it. Maybe if someone has past experience with the account then yes they might say he is. There's so many different variables that can affect the situation. Your honestly just being a big bitch and making a big deal out of a forum market. You started small and had a good idea but now your just saying a bunch of shit that has been running around MC-Market for months. Probably ever since the beginning. I haven't seen anyone say "It's a scam!" without having past experience with the user. All we wanted was proof and that's it. If you want to bull shit the community and how it runs to try to have a safe trading place then go post in the suggestion what you think will help make it a safer place instead of dissing on other people who are worried about the safety of the transaction.

"hmm scam" - Shades 2k15

It's fine, I'll just recommend to people to have the posts tagged as LQ posting and the users will receive warnings and such. It has nothing to do with the safety of the community. You're making yourself sound stupid. If you want proof, PM them on MCM asking for it. I do it all the time. The point of this is the useless spam by people with 2k posts who go on every thread and say "proof." If you're interested in the service/good, PM the user for proof or be the first person to reply to the thread asking if they cared to upload any proof. Else, screw off and leave the thread alone.

I had my cape cracked by some kid on here. (well, I assume on here)
Probably, wouldn't doubt some of the low lifes on here. Sorry to hear that :/

So I am a low rep user so if I got 27 ratings you won't deal with me? That makes absolutely no sense, I came to mcmarket to sell my stuff here not to get ratings nor to farm vouches
