As far as I know, Australia is part of the continent "Oceania" which consists of Aus, NZ, New Guinea, Tasmania, Polynesia and basically most of the tiny islands in the Pacific Ocean.
So yes and no.
No because its not a continent by itself, being a single country with a single government.
but yes because it makes up 90% of the landmass of said continent.
