Ithacia is an upcoming futuristic gun based server influenced by Destiny and Borderlands, with a variety of fun and interesting gamemodes. Only one mode will be open at the start of testing, however every few weeks a new gamemode will be released.
Mechanics
In the vein of games which serve as inspiration for Ithacia, the server centers around you, the player, and the vast range of loot which you can acquire. Ithacia has randomized weapons, and more than thirty unique weapon textures. In the near future, each weapon will be upgradable through a weapons modification vendor, allowing players to tailor each weapon to their own liking. Players can currently customize their loadouts using guns earned from crates, with grenades, equipment, abilities, and armor coming soon.Gamemodes
Firefight
The only mode which is currently open. Firefight is similar to team-deathmatch and pits teams of 8-16 players against each other until time runs out, or a score limit is reached.Firefight
Upcoming Gamemodes
Solo Arena
Players will square off against each other in this fast-paced, 1v1 gamemode. Collect powerful weapons scattered throughout the maps as pickup, or defeat your opponent using your equipped loadout. Like the other PvP modes, the game ends when a score limit is hit, or time expires. Solo Arena
Conquest
Conquest is a much larger gamemode, with the attackers fighting to capture a consecutive series of control zones held by the defenders before the attackers run out of reinforcements or time.Pictures
We need beta testers and builders
If anyone is able to help beta test for any amount of time between 4:00PM EST Saturday afternoon, and 6:00PM EST Sunday night, it would be much appreciated. Finding anything from a game-breaking bug to a poorly designed map, or even “just” feedback on the overall server would be incredibly helpful!
On the building side, we need people to help create maps of various sizes and styles, preferably for free. Just because the server theme is sci-fi does not mean we cannot have medieval, Arabic, Asian, or other styles of maps as well! Builders of all skill levels are welcome to apply!
