Just use normal essentials it will save money and developers wouldn't wasting time when they could be developing a plugin that could be more of uses

Yeah, but it's completely irrelevant (and yet another terrible argument): You can't live in New York City (for example) with the wage of someone in the Phillipines, different areas pay different amounts, and have different costs of living.
I find it funny that it's "greedy" to want to be paid at least minimum wage by server owners who make lucritive amounts of money from selling virtual items to children.
I feel like people don't' even read the replies to the thread. Why would I request for a custom plugin to be made if i didn't need one? One of my plugins isn't compatible with a essentials feature. This isn't "wasting" a developers time i'm paying them to do so.
This thread is just full of arguing now, i have to admit it's kinda entertaining to read.

It depends whether you are freelancing, or not. Even if you are freelancing, you still take how long you think the job will take in account when coming up with the final price. We don't randomly pull numbers out of our asses.
It's like saying, pay me $10 an hour to build you a factions spawn. Like, no. Why the fuck would anyone do this.
Now, if someone made a yearly salary, supportable, off of MC developing, that's a totally different story. But why being free lancing into this when you shouldn't even get minimum wage. There's no point to get minimum wage when it's not a real job.

While freelancing you don't legally have to get minimum wage, but we aren't talking about 'builders,' we are talking about developers. I don't have people pay me $10 an hour. I come up with the price before completing the software basing it on how long I think it will take. How do you think we come up with prices?

Software is a piece of work. I am being paid for it. I would consider that a job based on the definition.

You are using the incorrect definition of 'job.' Sure, 'job' can mean a fixed, and regular income, but 'job' can also mean a 'piece of work.' In this case, a piece of software. Freelancing is working for many different people instead of a single person. Basically, you can be any age to have a job.
