I'm Nathan. An experienced member of the Minecraft community. I'm here today to ask for help, and, to just see if I could get an idea turned into a reality. I have an idea for a Minecraft server, a system similar to the popular game 'World of Warcraft.' I have to first start off by saying, I will NOT be paying anyone, not anytime soon. This is simply an idea which could bring people together and be a fun project to work on. I have previously been the owner of multiple successful servers, here's a trailer for my last one,
Now let me explain more about the server.
As I said, the server will be similar to WoW with a huge RPG aspect to it. There will be classes, abilities and more. You will follow the quests given to you by NPC's as you level up over time and acquire better gear. It's a fairly simple but complicated concept. There will be the main storyline as well as multiple side quests to keep you entertained, all with different stories and challenges. An example quest being 'Kill 15 goblins and return to me with their gold.' Quite possibly my favourite part about this whole idea is the custom mobs.
With this server will come multiple custom mobs not usually in Minecraft with different abilities and combat patterns you'll have to learn. This isn't even mentioning the boss fights that could be made. Each area with have it's own theme with a level range and mobs complementing the scenery. Playing with friends will be a huge part of this with events being server side instead of client side. You would be able to fight bosses with your friends and complete quests together! Maybe even dungeons
Of course, this concept is in really early development, and really just an idea at this point. Lots will change. I'm willing to put in the work and even my own money to run the servers and what not. But right now I'm not looking to pay anyone for their services, I want people contributing for their own enjoyment and actually want this idea come to life. I will take all the ideas from anyone into consideration, I have plenty of time to work on this.
For this project, we will need a lot of different people with many skills. A developer, configurators, builders, texture pack creators, artists and much more! By no means do I expect this to gain any attention, but you know what they say. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best!
